We've been awful for 4.5 games - here and in the warm up games, and not much better in the games before that, we are doing what we do now. Tinkering with the guy who plays next to rice so we get a better quality ball back to the keeper when we should be going forward won't fix anything.
Outplayed by the better team so far. England's ponderous sideways passing among the backline reminds me of Peterborough when we shoed them 5-2 last season. The same problem of a static midfield and lack of incisive passing from England's group stage games is evident. The theory that we needed to play against a more open team to show our potential is being shown up here.
What frustrates me is that we all knew this performance was coming. But criticism of the previous games led to the pro’s and the England team we were the idiots and didn’t understand how tournament football works. This team has stunk for the whole tournament. Maybe someone will write a book someday that says what happened from within the squad. It looks like something has gone wrong. It started with bizarre squad selections and that set the tone for the shambles we see on our TVs now.
I fear you may be right and the dressing room/camp is a troubled place. There’s so much talent out there, including a player who some say is the best in the world. Yet we offer nothing against a side who are delighted to have got out of their group…

Looked offside but hey ho…,,,,.
You don't wanna show me nothin', but you're tellin me everything
After all the talk of ‘group games are all about qualifying, you wait’ that has come from the management and players I’m guessing this has f’d it.
So much talent.
When Rangnick takes over next week you'll genuinely be a force to be reckoned with.

England do look dangerous at set pieces - I think that's the most hopeful source of goals, sad though that is.
First thought was the guy in the middle was definitely offside from the initial ball..but I suppose they deemed him not interfering at that part.
This is where Maguire is a huge miss
They look desperate to score from one rather than dangerous and threatening
Get the only left sided pacey option in Gordon on.
And get the big threat Palmer on for Saka who has looked off it.
If that's not looking enough by 70 lose a centre mid and get Watkins or Toney on.
Why the fuck is no one taking their full back on?
Ironically, Trippier has looked one of the better players. He and Mainoo pick of a pretty paltry bunch.
Getting booed off must do wonders for team morale.

Why, oh why, do we never take players on?
Dullest team in the Euros, but then I didn't get The Miracle of Torquay right either.
England revival, please.
Going to be Georgian for the rest of the day.
I don't even want us to go through now, cos then we'd have this again for another game.
No way this eleven would start another game. Oh, sorry. I forgot who’s in charge.

…and as I type we score (offside)
Couldn’t watch this every week
I'd like to think this was Southgate's half-time team talk

That long range shot would have been hilarious.
England will still win. Nowhere to hide from now on though.
I don't think it matters who's in the 11 the way we set up.
Need Bellingham to stay on to do all the consoling at the end.
Mainoo not afraid to take some players on. He definitely belongs!
Why is captain charisma still on?
God loves an optimist
I wonder if having massive stars can hinder us sometimes, as too many players become undroppable even if the balance is off.
In 1975 a man died laughing watching an episode of The Goodies on TV.
I might be joining him later if the score doesn't change.
