Looks like we have missed out on signing Mbappe as he's accepted a £128m signing on fee with Real Madrid and a salary of £12.8m per year for 5 years. Come on Mikhael, stop dragging your feet on the transfer front!
He did ok with the tax dodgers and fostered some spirit although they still had quite a good squad despite their protests, the success of his predecessor and the sheer stupidity of the appointment at Birmingham probably meant they weren't ever going to buy into his methods there and the US adventure probably adds to his knowledge but he's not been a success anywhere and isn't exactly known as a deep thinker, with decent staff and a decent budget he can do something there but if he didn't have his playing reputation he'd be working at Tesco
I was only looking at the headline earlier but the story is brilliant, the guy bangs on about what the data shows but is then happy to drop any data that doesn't match.
Talking of hopeless managers it's good to see our friend Derek back at Morecambe.
Bit late but thanks to our well wishers for your kind words 👍. We have had a great time in Menorca sadly flying home tomorrow morning!🫣 Now got to carry on with the garden revamp and renewing my season tickets.
Apparently this is to do with parking charges and nothing to do with Danny Hylton skying penalties over the garden fence, past the chippy towards the Cinema .
Charlton have released season ticket details for their supporter coaches. Six different routes in Kent and Sussex, £299 for a season ticket, which is great value, especially for the longer distance departures on the south coast.
I know that Charlton have bigger support but I believe that we should consider re-instating the coaches we used to run, quite a while ago now. It might take time to build up but, make it easy and cost effective to travel and people will come. Run a coach from MK, via Buckingham, Winslow, Aylesbury and Princes Risborough, and I will use it.
Went to my football themed pub quiz last night and the great Martin O’Neill was the answer to a question - which three managers have won the conference/national league and also managed in the premier league?

Sounds really nice.
I hope you are having a lovely trip! Congratulations to you both.

Money our owner can easily afford but the likes of Mbappe are never going to play at our level just because the money is right.
Neymar on the other hand......
So apparently Rooney is an outstanding manager on every measure (apart from just one - winning games)

The world has truly gone mad.

If Plymouth love his curated underlying stats and don't care about a crappy winning percentage, they are going to be perfectly happy with him.

Scotland destroy Gibraltar 2-0 as the Euros edge ever closer. De Barr played, apparently.
Jordan Henderson might be available
Game’s gone

Coalville Town men's team will continue playing next season, at step 6 in the United Counties League Division 1.

TJ & Bartolo's Gibraltar hold Low's Wales to a 0-0 draw
Wishy won 3-1 tonight at St Joseph's to take the Challenge Cup, and make it two Caledonian League cups this season.
Great quote from the article, which I don’t think I can add to with any commentary -
“actual results are not a terribly good way of looking at how much of an impact a manager has had on a team”
Could we do a ‘la media inglesa’-style trip up to (near) Glasgow to support them for one of their games?
I am going to try and see them next season.
10 minutes of Wishy cup winning highlights. Good standard for amateur football.

This is a great idea. I’d be up for that.
I really enjoyed that and you’re right about the standard .

Some terrible news coming out of Millwall this morning.

Nice one, @manchesterchairboy. Who are the others? Brian Little, maybe?
Brian Little did it, and Neil Warnock as well
