Some interesting names on League One released lists. Very surprised to see Sean Raggett released by Pompey and Tom Bayliss let go by Shrewsbury. Also interesting to see Josh Harrop not kept on at Cheltenham. I remember him running us absolutely ragged as a kid for Preston in the cup a few years back. Looked a real prospect. But I guess, like Bayliss after leaving Coventry, the potential was never quite realised.
Perhaps the moral is never sign wingers from northwestern clubs off the basis of one great game against you - see also Martin Bullock, signed from Macclesfield.
I suspect the squad retained list will be today. Matt said in his interview he had interviews up til Thursday. And I know it take a day to pack your car for Center Parcs so he will need tomorrow to do that.
Anyone else going to the same centre parcs at the same time as MB ? I’m sure he’d appreciate some input from the gasroom faithful regarding recruitment and tactics for next season.
If it was me, I’d be pressing send just as I’m shutting up shot for my break.
Top tip for Centre Parcs goers, if you think an activity was rubbish (ie fencing), then staff have the ability to offer you another one straight away with no interrogation. I can’t imagine Matt will see this, but might be of use to others.
He’s repeated many times how he wants to play regularly until his body fails on him. He wanted to play longer than Ainsworth… he hasn’t had any major injuries since then, so I’m inclined to think he wants a new opportunity elsewhere.

At one point this year we were basing our recruitment purely Taylors so don't rule anything out.
But what about Sam Voakes?
We’re worried about the implications of two Vokes’s when England have Woakes, Stokes and Foakes...
All good blokes.

We could still be playing at Loakes Park, too!

Daryl Horgan ran us ragged in that FA Cup game against Preston and look how that worked out once he signed for us.

That was against Bean at right back though. Something always overlooked.
Right back and throw in duty. Ooooo not a good day.
And to think heading was his weak point! But I loved him and what a goal!!
Best ever goal celebration at Adams Park I reckon, and what a smashing guy he is as well.

Child: Mummy, why is that man shouting at Daddy, and jabbing his finger into his chest?
Mrs Bloomfield: I don't know, but if he doesn't go away and leave us alone, I'm going to call the Police.
On the rapids trying to get your head around why 5 at the back was such a disaster.
For the price of 3 nights at Center Parcs I'm pretty sure we could get a 20 goal a season striker.
Where's the retained list?
Where's the released list?
How can Matt possibly contemplate going to Center Parcs when there's so much to be decided?
*For the avoidance of doubt, I'm joking. Have a well earned break Matt.

Only for the first half. It was Will De Havilland at RB in the second half, who was somehow even worse than Bean that day
If GMac decides to leave there will be plenty of clubs looking to sign him up surely?
No way a player works that hard to stay in unbelievable shape just to retire. I'll be gutted if he leaves
