Not sure ‘hooked’ @micra . In the modern game managers speak of ‘starters’ and ‘finishers’. As we might re Kone and Voakes, well maybe not you in the latter case😉
I think it’s because otherwise it would be too close to an anagram of Kone.
Another bit of silly Sunday nonsense. Of the four League 1 clubs beginning with C, we’re about to play three of them in quick succession. All within 11 days. A win, a draw and a defeat, I reckon. Plus three points next Tuesday. Abracadabra, 62 points.
Some very good seasons in there, and fantastic to see Curtis manage that many appearances after his injuries. The only cloud is poor Dom, whose career continues to be blighted by injury.
How about the players that left in January? I know Keogh has played pretty regularly for FGR, but Harry Boyes has made little impression at Fleetwood and Kieran Bracken seem to have vanished without trace!
After all the fuss about Southampton wanting Kian Breckin and then Man City announcing they had three separate Championship teams after his signature on loan he has ended up back with the Development Squad.
On what we saw he was no better than League Two, a loan to Salford might just be the right move for him next season.

Matt Cecil gives a live update to this thread on air, with Curtis scoring past Max.
And hooked on the hour. Destined to be perennial Premier League sub or regular starter elsewhere?

Do you repeatedly spell it Voakes as some sort of in joke?
It's *joake

I’ll go back to sleep.
Eze scores for Palace against Liverpool
Ffs Liverpool, no one wants City to buy another title.
Thanks, @Twizz . Time to end my siesta and go live !
As for Eze, I think he (and Olise) will get a big move in the summer. It's about time.
Not intentionally, but if it fills a quiet Sunday for those with nothing better to do than get upset about it then a purpose is served I suppose
Not upset just baffled 3 years in you still do it. Glad to have helped out.
I managed to stay awake for most of the game but didn’t see the Eze substitution. He got a knock early in the game and I wondered if he was injured.
And does anyone know if Jack Grimmer is injured or unwell?
PS I know Jack is not an ex-player. Well, I jolly well hope not !😗
I think Jack was just rested yesterday.
Surely just rested with a packed last couple of weeks of the season to go.
Will be interesting if McCarthy is offered a new deal. He's had a really difficult year.
Thanks. You guys are too bloody quick!
Hadn't even realised we were on the ex player thread, so your edit took a few seconds of working out 🤣

Tjay on target for his first piece of silverware since returning to Gibraltar
Matty Cash scores for Villa
In hilarious fashion
Elliott Benyon still playing - at Hanwell in Southern League. Two goals tonight in a relegation dogfight.
They said he knew where the goal was when he came to Wycombe but he left soon afterwards, without having found it.
A summary of how some of the players who left last summer have fared:
Lewis Wing (Reading): 47 apps, 3728 mins, 10 goals, 11 assists (3rd in minutes played and leader in assists).
Nick Freeman (Stevenage): 47 apps, 2995 mins, 2 goals, 3 assists (8th in minutes played)
Jordan Obita (Hibernian): 40 apps, 3055 mins, 2 goals, 0 assists (4th in minutes played)
Curtis Thompson (Cheltenham & Grimsby): 36 apps, 2292 minutes 2 goals, 0 assists
Dom Gape (Sutton & Northampton): 9 apps, 500 minutes, 0 goals, 0 assists
Some very good seasons in there, and fantastic to see Curtis manage that many appearances after his injuries. The only cloud is poor Dom, whose career continues to be blighted by injury.

Kieran Bracken never existed!
After all the fuss about Southampton wanting Kian Breckin and then Man City announcing they had three separate Championship teams after his signature on loan he has ended up back with the Development Squad.

We're through the looking glass here...
he did.......played scrum half for England
Richard Keogh (FGR): 14 apps, 1161 mins, 0 goals, 0 assists.
Lyle Taylor (Cambridge): 12 apps, 886 mins, 3 goals, 2 assists.
Harry Boyes (Fleetwood): 5 apps, 332 mins, 0 goals, 1 assist.
Kian Breckin (Man City U21s): 7 apps, 512 mins, 0 goals, 2 assists.
I liked Boyes. For him to only get 5 apps at Fleetwood after leaving us seems odd.
