I think our turnout would be pretty poor. We only took about 22k against Sunderland in the play-off final didn't we? Wouldn't be surprised if we only managed 10-12k should we make it.
Strange to think that in 1993 we could play Slough in the Conference and not only was the game a sell-out but people were hanging off the trees trying to get a view of the pitch.
30 years and two divisions higher and that seems incredible. I blame the internet.
@Shev I think every Sky game has been on ESPN+ this season, even if it hasn’t been listed until the last minute. But hopefully it’ll be on WTV, I’d much rather hear Phil than the guy who thinks JJ’s last name is Yakobsen!
By the way @Shev,if we make the final and want to watch it somewhere together, I reckon Manhattan, KS is about halfway between you and me. Supposed to be a fun college town...
Simon Garner? Cardiff infiltrating the Frank Adams? Ooh does she want it sir? 14 year old Swansea teenagers leading the firm? 14 year old teenagers posting on the gasrrom? Ooh!

Did they clear that with @Blue_since_1990?
There were 85,000 for Portsmouth v Sunderland in 2019!
That was a bit below the belt and uncalled for Tom.

Think it was 23.5
You get a bit more lead time with the EFL Trophy Final (6 weeks) than you would do with a play off final (2 weeks max).
It would be a great opportunity for the club to properly market the match in the local area, schools etc.
Hopefully they make the most of it should we get there.
Only? 22-23k in the playoff final was a superb effort wasn't it?
Superb considering our season ticket holders are probably around 2500. Nine times at 22500.
Sunderland had around 45000 at the game, double the number of season ticket holders. A brilliant effort too.
Sunderland have a Premier League set up and fanbase.
Our Worldwide Phenomenon spans from Cressex and stops somewhere on the bypass towards Aylesbury, and only as far as Vipienne.

What's a tree?

I would actually be game! That would be quite the legendary meetup. Are you still in Virginia?
(and yes, I'd much rather Phil too !)
Champaign, Illinois. I reckon it's 1000 miles from here to Denver, Manhattan is about 500 miles away.

Small boys ridiculously shouting 'Bloomfield out!'
But secretly desiring the warmth of mother's bosom.
Surely a Wembley win in the EFL trophy would only be papering over the cracks whatever the attendance?
Ah, nice! Yes, that should be about halfway!
It'd certainly be interesting to see how we deal with a European campaign if we win
Why not try Wichita, just a few miles from Manhattan and has its very own Wembley!
Has a famous linesman too.
Covers the whole county I hear
"Assistant Referee" if you please.

Great news the club is doing that.
(But maybe i've been in my tightwad cave for too long...£38 for a non members coach trip!!)
Wait until you check the train prices. £110 without a railcard if you do split ticketing.
Maybe worth joining OWWSA (annual fee about £10) at the same time as booking the trip?
That's still almost £75 *with* a railcard. Bloody hell.
and they expect people to use public transport to save the planet...
It's OK though cos Rishi says we're starting to come out of the cost of living crisis...
