Wrexham taking self righteous digs at Accrington for raising ticket prices for their game today (there was an increase in police costs too).
They really have become an insufferable lower league Man City, forgetting how hard it is for smaller clubs despite having been one very recently themselves.
In response to Accrington randomly charging £5 Wrexham tax they have taken £5 off all tickets for the return game later in the season, seems decent to me. No fan of the fuss around them but it's not all bad
Now allegations of bullying and coercion being made against the Gibraltar manager. Not selecting players for petty reasons and double standards, pressuring players to sign for "certain clubs" if they want to be picked.
I done even understand why Gibraltar, the Faroe Islands Hong Kong are even allowed to play not being sovereign nations. But it is FIFA making the rules so I suppose they make them up as they go along. Yes I know the Home Countries aren't sovereign nations too but that goes back to Britain inventing the game so very hard to change years down the line.
Thought I’d have a quick check to see how Wayne Rooney’s Birmingham are doing. When he took over, they were 6th…they’re now 18th!! Apparently he has identified Elliot Lee, son of former Chairboy Rob, as one of his January targets. He’s currently playing in L2 for the Wrexham Dragon’s…
Overseas territories etc. have always been allowed to play in FIFA competition - one or two have even qualified for the World Cup before - why on earth wouldn't they be allowed to?
True, but their tweet about it was completely passive aggressive against Accrington, as if the two clubs are on equal financial footing. Wrexham are just a richer Salford at this point.
If Phillips gets himself a January loan and some proper minutes in the tank, he could play himself back into form. Henderson's England career should be over - he's been well off it since moving to a tinpot league. Gallagher seems likely, in addition to Bellingham obviously.
Probably because I watched some of the last game and England games for decades. It's a bit harsh but also not quite what I said, I wouldn't put any of my money on it but it wouldn't be a massive shock if it did happen on a one off basis. Why would an England fan ever be confident?
We have some really good players and a few potentially great players, and Southgate for all his negativity and borderline cronyism does very well at preparation, inclusion and prioritising the players wellbeing and he's done very well at the major tournaments because of this. I just hope he doesn't chuck away opportunities and the confidence his own players have in him by being overly cautious and giving game time to those who don't deserve it at the expense of blooding youngsters.
I'm not overly confident but is it our best shot since maybe 2006? Possibly. 50 years of hurt never stop you dreaming....
Moldova (ranked 157th in the world) will qualify for the Euros if they beat the Czech Republic tomorrow. And not even on some strange technicality - as group runners-up.
Kazakhstan (ranked 98th) will do likewise if they beat Slovenia.

I wouldn't say Wrexham were ever a particularly small club

Surely it makes more sense for all these level teams to play against each other?
They'd surely find competitive games a lot more fun than being utterly Rufus Brevitted every single game?
Maybe the winners of these mini groups could then qualify for a higher level?
That's called the UEFA Nations League
You don't expect England to beat one of the top 5 or 6 teams any time soon? Why so?
I reckon only France are bigger favourites to win the Euros than England
I guess they won't have a chance until March

Until everyone realizes we are going to play Kalvin Phillips and Jordan Henderson alongside Rice instead of our attacking midfield talents.
It's not gridiron lad 😉

Is it fair to immediately discredit anyone who uses the words 'gammon,' 'snowflake,' or 'tinpot?'
5 credits
This forum is where gammons and snowflakes meet like tectonic plates. Nothing tinpot about it, though.
Does that make me a Gamflake ?
Needs further explanation of tectonic plates meeting

Luxembourg finished third in their group. They, like England, have won fuck all in living memory.
You really have been on the whisky haven't you Mr Capitalism 🧐🤣
Nearly half the current UK population were alive in 1966
Nope. I just think Luxembourg should host a world cup in the interests of balance!
Surely that can’t be true
