I suspect that unless Phillips openly weeps during the minute’s silence he will be subjected to abuse (possibly from all sides) today. Would a pragmatic solution be that he pops down the tunnel after warm up and stands out of sight. He’s absolutely entitled to his view but the optics of jumping and stretching might be too much to bear for some.
Or he could do something so shocking that the crowd are stunned into 90 minutes of silence. A bit like Father Ted's kicking Bishop Brennen up the arse. A reference I'm sure he'll get.
Or he could claim to be American for a day as he was born in the USA.
He can't win, if he doesn't stand in line with his colleagues, head bowed in "respect" some of the usual types will be after him...wonder if they'll show both him and the moment the respect it deserves.
Hopefully people will sing his name after the Ceremonials are over if he does get grief.
They're a big beefy team, but at the moment we're playing it quick when we should be taking a moment, and getting it forward speedy when we need to slow them down

“Killian Phillips. He’s one of our own.”
He can’t win I agree. He can disengage with the team. But what will trigger the masses is if he does warm ups during the minute silence.
I'd like to think it would only trigger a rabid minority. I think the majority of our fan base is level-headed enough not to be fussed.
Just stand still and look suitably reflective. Just like all of us do for the numerous minute's silences for all manner of things over the year.
Almost the best back 3!
If Phillips is doing shuttle runs and jumping up and down warming up I can see why people my have an issue.
But he respectfully stood still on the centre circle two yards from everyone else standing still respectfully on the centre circle.
As ever, idiots wanting to be offended turn themselves into a frothing mess of offence for offending themselves.
Let no man write my epitaph.
Now THAT is a very commanding lineup in this level of football- good luck lads 🩵💙
Hopefully Potts is not out long!
Leahy left wing back? Or centre mid?
Let he who is without sin cast the first stone
Let it be
Hey Jude
Leahy and wheels wingbacks maybe
I think this'll be it
Was there any drama during the minutes silence?
no
Somebody farted in the family stand.
😂

Struggling to understand how the ref sees that assault on Hanlan as a foul by him
Hanlan injured badly by "fouling" the other player.
New rule - do not get your collar wrapped around a player's hand.
I know I am on the opposite side of the pitch and wear glasses... but I thought that was our free kick. What's the view from the family stand?
Stevenage are ridiculously dirty. Ref may need to find his cards.
Big chance for TJ, although I’m slightly surprised it wasn’t Sads off the bench.
