If it's true then it's a shame, for all three parties, that the loan hasn't worked out. I am pleased, however, that Blooms hasn't felt compelled to play him when he's clearly not up to it.
The first step into mens football, especially when it involves a move away from home must be a huge shock. I hope he recovers well.
Potts is still very young and has a long way to go until he is ready for first team action at West Ham. Whether someone in the Championship offers them an incentive to get him in and West Ham sees that as fast track development will be the thing. Moyes does seem to be ignoring young talent at West Ham at the moment and they are leaving in their droves so don't rule anything out - no not that.
Yes, not too worried about Potts and Phillips - I think the fact they are doing well, happy, and getting lots of minutes is probably an incentive to keep them right where they are, rather than risking them sitting on a bench in the Championship. I could be wrong, but we'll cross that bridge if/when we come to it.
The guys who pick the team seem to be writing Kian Breckin off ? I’m not at all sure that is the case and I hope it proves not to be tomorrow. Not sure MB goes along with what seemed to be GA’s approach of concentrating on the league at the expense of Cup competitions but tomorrow could be an opportunity to ring the changes to the extent that availability permits. If so, it would be no great surprise to see Breckin get some minutes (if not a start).
It's a pity the squad is thinning so much right as we hit the FA Cup. If most players were fit we could put a fearsome team out while still being well prepared for the league.
Personally I think it’s probably rubbish as there’s been nothing official and he was on the bench on Tues. It seems to be an old tweet from someone who claims to be ITK.
However a bit concerned that @glasshalffull didn't deny it.
No offence intended old chap, and I wasn't 'going after' you specifically, your posts are usually well written and worth reading.
But I have noticed a number of instances of poor/lazy writing on here which grind my gears, such as there/their, to/too, and of course the misuse of loose for lose.
Given the negative approval rating I already have, I'm debating whether to challenge @micra for the title of Chief Pedant.
Someone asked about Phillips' lack of a pre-season earlier in the thread. He commented in a recent interview this was because he had to follow some concussion protocol but without giving more detail.
I've been delighted with his progress. He reminds me a lot of Keith Ryan.
@Malone: I think @bargepole mentioned soon after joining 18 months ago that he was in his early seventies (as I was a dozen years ago).
One of your favourite words is massive but, as prefixing adjectives with ‘super’ has become such a phenomenon recently, I took the liberty of adding it. To be fair, I don’t recall you having said super massive (yet !) .
Trust me @Malone, you have used that word quite a lot over the years. If I could be arsed to dig out a few instances (and knew how to go about it) I would do so because I would dearly love to be your (most?) favourite oldster on the Gasroom. You know I would.

Assuming he is still with us.

To be fair to @bargepole (not always easy), he writes a good post but he is definitely in the marmite category when it comes to approval ratings.

I assume any recall would be January anyway, not immediate? Unless the clubs can mutually agree to it sooner?
Even if he went now he couldn't someone else til January.
I think @ReturnToSenda pointed out he’d be signing for Southampton’s U23s so the window probably doesn’t apply.
Not sure i've ever put those 2 words together?
Bargey isn't well into his 70s is he?!

Same age as the King, as I've said before on here.
The age he was when he died, or how old he would have been now?
Hmm, 42 or 89, neither sound quite right.
What? Charles hasn't died, he was born in 1948, same year as me.
Charles? Thought you meant Elvis!

Whoops ! Just scrolled back and saw the reference to His Majesty.
The king, that is - not @bargepole.
Wouldn't even get in my top 73 favourite words.
I would like you to find me 3 separate posts in the last year where I've used the word massive.
If you can succeed in such a task, you will be my most favourite oldster on the gasroom for ever.
I have heard a few people refer to him as nobility.
Well, maybe I read it too quickly...
Correct, Man City can't recall him until Jan. If we wanted to, we could terminate the agreement but wouldn't be able to get a replacement until Jan
So we're getting Elvis on loan?
Blimey !! I'm all shook up

I have a suspicious mind about this rumour.
It’s now or never.
Well... if I can dream
