@Malone there is always something sinister going on. I mean a summer signing young players, decent loans, and some experienced League players and now possibly signing a crowd pleasing Uche? What are they up to?
Akinde was a similar one, on his day he absolutely bossed the game, unfortunately it was unpredictable whether it'd be "on his day" or not (especially the second time round).
As a fellow tightwad, I'm surprised you don't think people will grasp the opportunity to just have "Uche" on the shirt.
Although I do quite enjoy the idea that the club are organised enough to be considering lettering for shirts when they still haven't got the actual shirts in, a month into the season.
Blooms talks about Uche in today's interview, though without giving the game away. He did acknowledge that they have remained friends since Uche played for us.
Rumours on Twitter that we want Uche signed before we let Hanlan sign.
Not only have we recouped whatever we paid for Hanlan (+ more), we also sold Uche for a sizeable fee (allegedly) and are potentially getting him back for nothing!

Makes perfect sense not to play someone on the verge of a fairly decent priced move though.
There doesn't have to be any sinister stuff going on necessarily.
Agreed.
It does seem like great business for us but it may also be great business for them. Watch him go and score 20+ goals now!
In a lower division in the right system he could score a hatful.
Remember that Oxford game a couple of years ago?
He was absolutely unplayable that day. Players like that can be so frustrating. You know that it's in there somewhere
If he could play like that every week in league 2 he's the bargain of the season
Is he this generation’s John Paul Pittman??

Can't believe it's taking this long to announce Uche.
Well he does have to actually PASS the (rumoured) medical (presumably)

His full name is quite long but the clock is ticking, maybe they've run out of songs with tenuous links to Wycombe
where’s Uche? I keep coming on and no sign of him. Has Brandon been spotted at a northbound service station yet?
TBF, it may be the club has to get extra lettering & (very small) in so they can fit his name on the shirt!

Imagine if we miss out because we can't get him a shirt that fits.
He's not Bayo, or Neil Ruddock
Jack Grimmer’s Insta ‘story’ has Mustard playing table tennis at Marlow Rd four hours ago. Unless he is toying with us of course.
maybe he's just playing us. Using a bit of contract press as a signal to other clubs
It’s a metaphor

Hopefully not but starting to worry this could be a massive anti- climax. If Hanlan goes , we definitely need to replace.

Where would the Gasroom be without a rumour!
What on earth did we rely on for rumours before social media came along?
We didn’t. You would just turn up at Loakes Park at five to 3 on a Saturday and see that God was playing for us.
From the Wrexham side - as ever make of it what you will, but:

”Hanlan deal done. 150k rising to 275k based on a few things over the next few years as well as some 6 monthly instalments.”
“Been told Hanlan is signing as we speak. Not trying to be an ‘ITK’ but my one very good source has said we are underway, exciting.”
the second of those was posted a few hours ago.
Not the £300k pants down stuff then?
Ping-pong diplomacy.
Should be in the Billiard Room with some lead piping surely?

Fantastic business all round.
We relied on the excellent BFP journalism from the likes of Stuart Earp and Mike Knox, to keep us informed.
We definitely need another few centre backs. Saif no-one.
