I'd argue that the reason they immediately went for him was laziness, easy option to keep the fans happy and meant they didn't have to bother interviewing people.
I'd have Dobbo back but not Ainsworth, you could tell in their final interview with Phil he didn't want to leave even though he's a QPR fan but he'd been at our club longer than Ainsworth.
Obviously way too early to talk about sackings etc.
But why if the worst happens and both clubs sack managers would anyone not entertain Ainsworth back, but would take Dobbo as manager, a role he's not done? Especially after just appointing a rookie.
I will leave it a few more games before getting worried. I will worry if Booms tries a few different formations and starting line ups and still can't get the best out of what looks to be a talented squad on paper at least. I think he is still trying to show horn players in. Still sad we had to have such a turn over of players but this lot should be doing better than this.
Miss the Ainsworth culture though, integrity, work rate and never say die attitude were so important. That said we did have some abject runs of results and performance, that is just football! Never get to high, never get too low as Gareth would say.
I'm not remotely sold on Blooms as a coach, but I don't think that's a fair criticism. As I've said before, you can't realistically expect a manager to deviate radically from their own philosophy.
If Blooms and GA are both fired, still not sure if a second go round with GA would work out well. The chemistry would be different - half the team is new, and the other half saw him walk out the door in the midst of a playoff push. We all love GA, but does everyone think he would come back and pick up the marriage as if he had not had an ill-fated fling?
I don't want to have Stockholm Syndrome with GA. If we have to sack MB at any point, I think we have to move forward. The era is over, and not of our doing. There will be another golden era at another time, with another manager.
Look at QPR today though - the narrative can change so quickly. I am still confident for Orient.
I don't think the Couhigs have it in them to look too far, they will go for an easy option again, if Gaz is available he'll be offered it, if not they will probably offer it to JJ
Last weekend was the worst home league game I’ve seen for years. Today was poor. But give it until October ffs. Players didn’t know each others names 4 weeks ago. This was entirely predictable.

QPR doing well....Wrexham not doing well....The dream of Hollywood superstars taking over and reappointing Ainsworth is fading fast.
So we'll have to stick with Bollywood Bloomfield for now.

I agree that Gaz's situation is a massive factor. If (when) he loses the job at QPR I can't see how we don't at least ask him the question.

I'm not sure it's really a long-ball squad anymore, is it?
And there, in a nutshell, is the most accurate summing up of a season that is precisely one week old.
Would appointing Dobson, who is not a manager, not be an equally romantic decision, rather than just appointing someone proven?
We've played total shit ever since Bloomfield got the job!
The summer was just a welcome break from the horror
Depends how you judge players.
Max, Taf Forino Scowen Vokes are the same spine. Grimmer and JJ are still there. Wheeler, McCleary, Hanlan all remain etc.
Potts is a more tidy version of Gape. Etc.
It was to provide continuity! But he came in and decided he knew better.

It's quality squad with the right manager - ability- and style-wise.

This must be the longest after a game that Bloomfield has given us his view of what the hell went wrong.

Within minutes to be honest yes.
But neither are getting sacked anytime soon and we look forward to playing a team with an equally terrible start in 3 days.
I'm on the fence. It would probably work out alright, but the other half of me thinks it's time to cut loose and completely move on.
He would turn us around within minutes? Very impressive!
Well he can't be worse than Bloomfield,a great player for our club but he's not up to being our manager.
Same for me
Steve Cotteril is the man we should be getting on the phone to.
Very harshly sacked by Shrewsbury and obviously knows Leahy and Phillips.
Get him in.

Assuming a 25 year cycle......
He'd come back within mins.
He might need a bit more time to Wycombise the kids.
Also an utter knob. The way I've seen him speak to young reporters is disgraceful.
There will be all manner of good options out there if the board are prepared to be open-minded.

JJ has eight minutes of managerial experience tbf (or however long it was)
