GA changed the style despite saying all summer he won’t change for anyone. Not a great look.
They’ve got some good players, but he’s not been using them effectively. Or at all. It seems a last roll of the dice has kept him in a job.
"A lot better than last week. Last week was my fault. My system, my way of setting the boys up and I didn't give them the best chance of succeeding.
"It's been a big week for me and that's a big day for me today. I can't thank the guys enough for their work on the training ground. I really did think how can I get the best out of the players I've got, rather than think what's brought me success over the years. “
Penalty given to Brentford after VAR looked at incident about a minute after the "offence". What would have happened if Spurs had scored before VAR made their decision?
When you picked all the players and all the staff and have been somewhere a decade it's easy to look at players and say they haven't developed as you would liked or they simply aren't doing as told, you can easily make little changes to the usual to counter the opposition, and players can make different choices as they see fit in a game. When you're all new there's a lot more to be learned by all. Sure Blooms, Gaz and respective coaches and players are all coming around to that, some fans might take longer.
Funnily enough...on the QPR forum the fans are unhappy about some podcast saying the QPR win was just 'Ainsworth ****housing' whereas the people who saw the game saw it completely differently. They'll have to get used to that.
I think you'll find that VAR has wiped out mistakes and inconsistencies and that big teams are treated no differently to any others. A welcome improvement.

But about 6 actually played as someone got injured late on 😁
Injuries within injury time is fine!
Pelly-Ruddock Mpanzu starts for Luton, having done so in each of the second to fifth tiers
It is slightly mad, in this day and age, that two Premier League teams line up without shirt sponsors this weekend (Forest and Chelsea)
QPR winning. Maybe The Ainsworth Revival starts here
Cardiff 0 QPR 1.
Hopefully QPR can hold on. 3 points from two opening away games would be a nice return.
The Ainsworth Revival is a bit like the Goodwood Revival but all the cars are brightly coloured 60's muscle cars.
QPR 2-0 up. Cue fans saying they always wanted him there,
Cardiff 0 QPR 2.
Cardiff pull a goal back, 1-2.
Well done GA - evidently QPR played their best game under him. Reports of his demise, etc. etc.
Still has a hell of a lot of work to do but it's a strong result for sure.
Cardiff must have picked up our bad luck virus during the friendly
Villa providing a fine example of how not to play a high line

Incredible words to come from any manager’s mouth, let alone GA’s.
Surely most managers work to the players they've got rather than stubbornly playing one way?
The ones who stay in jobs at least.
Luton today looked like us at the beginning of our Championship season. I just hope they don't do a Derby.
Brentford - Spurs kick-off delayed because there's no water coming into the stadium. That's a new one!

Right decision imo. I assume any 'goal' would have been chalked off?
That would have been "popular" with the Spurs fans!!
It would be perfectly in keeping with the whole Spurs vibe

How is that not a penalty for Wolves?
Completely missed the ball. Wiped out his opponent.
VAR thinks 'that's fine' (although how the on-field officials haven't given it, fuck knows).
I give up.

You’re at old Trafford…nothing to see here.
Ref didn’t fancy the hassle of giving it.
