Interesting.I thought he looked quite sharp while trotting out the stuff he always says. Compared to Bloomfield's interview you could tell which manager has been doing this for a decade.
I’ve just caught up on Rochdale v Ebbsfleet in the National League yesterday which was the live game on…erm…TNT.
Fleet look a very decent side and could be the surprise package in the NL this season. They beat Rochdale 0-1 fairly comfortably which must have been something of a reality check for the home fans following their relegation from the EFL.
Jack Wakely had a solid if unspectacular game in the Fleet defence. Although he did make one critical interception.
Interestingly they’re playing him in the key central role in a back three - the Taf/Keogh role. So a lot of responsibility for a young defender who hasn’t played that much first team football. Could be good for us if he does well, in what looks like a well managed side.
I think this is a bit of a strange move from the club. Come winter time if we are losing by a couple the stands could just empty and go inside to watch in the warm. Not great for the players to see everyone walking out surely. I mean I love a pint as much as anyone, but sure I can wait 90 mins during a match for one.
Slightly surprised Kane has chosen to put cruising a title in a one league team above the all time Prem goalscoring record. (Prem instead of English top flight, before someone mentions a 1903 player who scored 2,000)
He may only be 30, and while he's nota pace player, he doesn't strike me as longevity player.
So he'd surely go there for 2-3 years and is thus putting a lot of faith in being able to find the 40-50 goals needed after 32/33?
@ReturnToSenda do you have any stats on most goals scored in the premier league by a player after 30, 32, 35 etc?
I get it with Kane - he finally gets some almost-guaranteed silverware in the German league, but also gets a significant bite at the Champions League cherry every year too. His talent should be on that stage.

Arteta booked 17 minutes into the new season. Solid start.
Ah, so if a manager gets sent off now they have to watch from the dressing room - no more getting sent to the stands.
Not a fan of his, but not surprised he was annoyed Rodri got away with a cynical shirt pull foul.
Classic Man City, which Arteta knows better than anyone being on their documentary when he was part of their staff saying to use that tactic.
Is my picture funny or is that new City shirt EXTREMELY blue? They look soaked in sweat.
Alan Sm*th pride of place in the Royal box ?!?!?
Arteta is ruddy awful. He’s high up on my list!! 😡
Ipswich certainly showed what they're about today. Good win at Sunderland
Lawrie Sanchez was a trail blazer, in many ways
Indeed. Can't be long until that statue at Adams Park is erected now.
He can go and watch in the Vere suite with a nice pint now can't he?
(Get sent off in on a frozen midweek in February is my advice.)

Could they not do that last season?
Do you mean did they ? Only opened for half time I believe
Ah right - tbh I lose track of which bar is which!
The Accrington Stanley penalty during their shootout last night was a classic.

It would have been even better if it had gone in!
Do we know why QPR's Carabao tie isn't until next week?
Didn't someone say that their game against Watford was moved due to resurfacing work on their pitch?
Some players are still stuck up a tree

Ahh that would make sense
Someone should open a restaurant there and call it High Steaks
Looks like the tedious "Kane to Bayern" transfer saga has reached its obvious conclusion with the clubs reaching a deal in principle.
The equally "who else would buy him" saga of Maguire to West Hame seems to have also reached its conclusion
But Kane might decide to stay. Maguire will do OK at West Ham. Probably.

But at least he's not going to become the first 100 goal a season striker in the new Saudi League @Malone .
With his brother as his agent I'm surprised he didn't end up signing a new 10 year deal at Tottenham on half the money.
