Obviously very much jury out & hope he is fantastic for us. In the clips on twitter the standard of football looks shocking. PL2 with no men’s football experience is a bit worrying. Then you’ve got the ‘fought off championship clubs’ which reading between the lines means Wycombe have promised him more minutes than championship clubs & league 1 is more his level, especially as he’s been given the number 8 shirt. Hope he’s fantastic for us but not overly excited with this signing either.
He's been given the Number 8 shirt for the season, it must be seen as a key part for us this year? As he's come from Man City, I think the chances of him being recalled are very slim.
This could be a great signing, which brings down the average age of our squad.
It also sends a message to others out there, who are still deciding which club to join - if a Man City player has chosen Wycombe above all others, what are you waiting for, get on the phone to MB now!
Giving him number 8 suggests he's going to be in the starting 11. I assume City would have asked for an indication that we're going to be playing a style that in some way marries up with the way they develop players, so I guess we're going to see more structured passing through midfield. Hopefully that translates into incisive, purposeful forward passing rather than aimless tippy tappy.
moderately excited by this - agree it makes us still look like a club the ‘big boys’ see as the right place for their emerging talent to go. That’s a plus.
I hope to see him Breckin forward and Breckin records - and not Breckin bad down Revs.
Structured passing through the midfield......back to the goalkeeper who BOOTS the ball up to Vokes. Route one tippy tappy will change football forever.
I think we still need to sign an out and out striker, who can play up front with Vokes to create a double threat. No. 10 shirt is vacant.
Apparently, Erling Haaland's cousin Albert is creating waves in the Norwegian lower divisions. Could we bag him for a season before the PL big boys get interested?
He plays attacking midfield and is very comfortable with the ball at his feet. Ask Derby fans, he played against Derby in the tinpot trophy last season and in the other two tinpot games.

Some cryptic messages on the club's Twitter right now. Looks like a signing is imminent!

That's one hell of a signing! Newcastle and Leeds have been looking at this player for a while!

And Arsenal
That's put to bed some of my doubts about our ability to attract players in the post-Ainsworth era. A solid start - let's keep it going!
Is there a relevance to the Dusty Springfield song?
looks like he'll be a key 'un for us next season
on paper this looks a great signing, I may even stop bitching about our lack of transfer activity for a full 5 minutes in celebration.
Top stuff ! Hopefully a couple more this week would be nice
I'm guessing the competition to sign him and him only wanting to be with us
Immediately cancelled for being pictured wearing a half-and-half scarf

And the fact she lived in Wycombe
ummm...I know it's only the Sun, so this might well be absolute shite, and "don't believe everything you read on the internet", yadda yadda, but...

Hopefully we'll loan him out to Beaconsfield Town for a game so I can think of a Brekin Beaconsfield quip.
Just 1 day later the first premier league "starlet" is on board. Even using that word!
Chant to the tune of Miley Cyrus' 'Wrecking Ball'?

That’s what I read into it, too @Glenactico.
Passing with purpose. Very perceptive in the wider scheme.
Your post, I mean.
@Malone has been coaching me.
Is it just me who can't see in any of the announcements what position he plays??

Played in three men's games last season.
