Shodipo could be of interest, right age and a left sided player who scored 13 goals in League One for Oxford in 20/21. Had two indifferent seasons on loan since at Sheff Wednesday and Lincoln.
Imagine telling someone (who gave a decade of service) to butt out of anyone's affairs whilst commenting on a message board based on the thinnest of rumours.
I admire that Ainsworth for his Wild Thing no nonsense playing career and his impressive ten year management of this club...but if he comes round here telling our Centre back he can pay him more or tapping up out of contract players, telling Pete not to have chips on the kiosk or letting down Matt's tyres to stop him scouting new talent...I would say hey Ainsworth Nooooo!!!
Don’t let other posters put you off. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Anyway it can’t have been too bad or controversial , @glasshalffull has not had a ‘pop’ at you.
Don't fret, I don't think people who say it like they see it and think they are the voice of reason in a sea of wokey restrictions in a liberal elite echo chamber are ever put off by posters on a message board making fun unless they are as thin skinned as the thin skinned offence mongers they claim are oppressing them. Don't think bargepole is sobbing into his champers. There are some on here who always thought that Ainsworth (love the guy, club legend but...) was up to no good @davecz perhaps after three or four years they've finally been proved right.
Bargey giving out his seat number was also an absolute classic. Anyone can go and see for themselves if he is a "parody". I love that level of thick skin.
I like @bargepole’s contributions. They are a living, breathing parody but no less amusing for it and the Gasroom* is richer for their ‘alternative’ views espoused on here.
*Sadly the state of the country suggests that these are less alternative than they should be in the real world.
Seasons ago I gave @Malone my seat number and invited him to come down from his loftier perch in Cell Block Q and tap me on the shoulder. He never did, the blighter, and my skin is thinner than a beeswing but I took it on the chin.
Did anyone introduce themselves to you@bargepole ? And did you share a pint (as it were)?
I should just add that for JJ's testimonial game on 29 July, I shall be in the FA stand, block N row D seat 96, not my allocated ST seat.
Anyone who wants to say hello is welcome, and hopefully I'll be there clutching a cup of decent coffee, and a bag of chips, courtesy of the new caterers.
No, @micra , so far nobody has approached me to introduce themselves.
I can only presume that those who keep downvoting every one of my posts, regardless of content, are sad keyboard warriors whose weekly highlight is a pot noodle and a big wank.
I don't think that would happen either way, as most prefer online insults to face to face interaction. I would hazard a guess that no-one insulting bargey on here has had the temerity to do so in person. Just a wild guess, though.
I'm with you @bargepole, I've posted a few things that didn't go with the groups views and got knocked for it. Sometimes I found it affecting my views but there was a one or two who rubbish claims but don't offer anything in return. However, there was a number of Gasroomers that I reached out to who gave me to reassurance that I wasn't that far off the mark and that they were available to privately message if I ever needed to.
Keep doing what you are doing, I think your views are valid and does promote discussion which if it didn't, the Gasroom will be a very boring place! If you ever need an ear, please message me directly and I happy to give you my views and go through things 👍️
I think he has the potential to become an excellent member of the club (if he was to sign!). He has scored around 25-30 goals (depending on the source) over the last 2 seasons and by playing alongside Sam Voakes, he'll be able to continue making that progress. It'll also take some of the weight off Sam V's shoulders. When Sam V moves on / calls it a day, I'd like to think he knowledge that he would have shared with Mellor and Smith (again, if he signs) will give us some good promising talent up front
Smith would be a great signing BUT The72 have taken their information straight from the BFP, who seem to have taken their information straight from source-less Twitter speculation. The BFP article doesn't seem to have any links to actual ITK sources. None of the usually relatively ITK twitter journos or accounts have posted anything of note.

17 of them were youngsters but 14 were senior pros.

Totally agree. Wouldn’t surprise me if he tapped up Wing not to sign a new contract.
Gareth Ainsworth works for Queens Park Rangers now.
He is entitled to pursue what he sees as that club's best interests.

Signed Harry Boyes from Sheffield United

All but confirms that Leahy will be playing more centrally then. Sounds a good signing.

Especially when it's a johnny come lately poster who aggravates most of the board 🤣
If people get aggravated, that's their problem, not mine.
I just say it how I see it. If that produces a view that doesn't accord with the majority echo chamber in here, so be it. #doilooklikeicare
Ah, assumed he was either parody second account or someone who had pissed so many people off he started again.
Not a great look when you assume people with different views from you must be parodies.
I think bargey is great fun, personally.

Sam Smith (a free agent since his contract at Cambridge United expired on 30 June) being linked to Wycombe Wanderers according to the The72.
Could you comment on the status of The72, please @ReturnToSenda.
Sam Smith would be a captivating capture.
I’d even forgive him his forename!

He's far more typical of South Bucks than all the 'Dave Sparts' on here.

It's Jim Davidson!
I can just see poor sod who innocently buys that seat getting all manner of odd looks and questioning.
Nobody can 'innocently' buy that seat, because I've already paid for it.
WYSIWYG.

Why not? that's my "different view" based on some recent fairly unpleasant posts, you are welcome to yours.
Lawrie?
