I can understand people's annoyance with the amount of coverage Wrexham get, but Ryan and Rob are clearly just two good guys having a lot of fun with it - and fully buying into the community.
I think of good rule of thumb is how we would feel about it if Ryan and Rob were regular businessmen throwing excessive money at a club. I would be irritated.
Its the same with the tip close to the Madjeski and Green Park train station. A few years back Reading Council got fed up with West Berkshire residents using the tip and stopped all non Reading Council residents using the facility, on a good run its 15mins/7 miles from me. Once we were blocked from using it we then had to travel 30mins/15 miles to Newbury. West Berkshire have now upgraded a recycle centre to a full blown tip in Padworth which is 5-10 mins from me.
Some West Berkshire residents lived within 800 metres of the Reading tip and then had to travel 18 miles to Newbury. You couldn't make it up.
I suspect the good burghers of Reading Borough are paying for said tip, its management & the removal of waste via their council tax & so are possibly fed up with West Berks residents essentially getting/using something they haven't paid for.
I think a better comparison would be Leicester City rather than Manchester City.
Personally I think it’s great what is going on a Wrexham, and do find their story is quite romantic despite the financial backing they’ve received. Nice to see a club that has struggled for so long enjoying such a bright present and potential future.
I think they will be in the Championship before too long and depending how things go could get to the Premier League.
( I also enjoyed the Disney programme too though so maybe I’ve been sucked in by all the hype)
West Berks were part of a group of local authorities that fund Smallmead (on the site of the erstwhile Whitley Whiff landfill), but then pulled out. For once that wasn't Reading borough council's fault...
Re: not providing much in the way of parking at Green Park station, my understanding is that it's intended for use by office workers at the business park rather than a general park and ride. With the local councils being more like passive aggressive neighbours not helping each other more than the bare minimum, it's not much of a surprise that the potential for a park and ride train station for the villages south of Reading was missed.

Salford beaten today The BBC will be awash with tears.
Funny how Salford draw such bitterness, yet Wrexham people seem to think is some magical romantic affair.
I don't as the bought their promotion with ridiculous wages that's why players from League 1 Joined them.
Is Bradford’s away keeper kit basically the outfield home kit?
Totally agree. It's basically because Ryan Reynolds makes people giddy.
They will find it harder next season as they have to make a small cut in their wage budgt to comply with the EFL financial regulations.
I disagree. Wrexham’s owners are buying into the local area and culture. Salford owners are wielding the club at arm’s length from the community.
Ahhh The "Man City" defence.
And Wrexham are traditionally a football league club, and one that means a huge amount to the local area. Salford City are neither of those things.
Man City’s owners made their money from oil - likely blood money - in order to sports wash.
Wrexham’s owners are just famous actors as far as I’m aware.
Weird comparison to make.

And let’s be honest here - Ryan is a bit sexy isn’t he?

People are missing the point.
Man City's community work and treatment of journalists has been 2nd to none.
It's very likely a huge factor in how little scrutiny they've faced (until now!) for their "dealings".
Can't talk about treatment of journalists but surely regardless of anything else, good community work should be applauded.

Are Luton the first ex Conference/National League club to get to the Premier League?
Bugger ...
Wimbledon
Technically not as they were already a top-flight team when the Prem began
Thought Luton fully deserved to go up from what I've seen.
No proper football supporter makes that distinction though do they?
Luton themselves appear to be making it https://twitter.com/LutonTown/status/1662538637853200384?t=L2BFUyP84ZyMAq_H5VFnCg&s=19
The only one to go there and back from the top flight, though.
That's the most impressive part
Also, Wimbledon came up from the Southern League, not the Conference.
Good point. So technically the answer to @PrinceOfCrowell is no.
