This is what gets me about "amazing fan bases". All fans seem amazing if their team is winning, and a percentage of any fan base throws their toys out of the pram as soon as they lose.
Andy Pilley's conviction for fraud must bring considerable doubt to Fleetwood's financial future. Given it's a fraud conviction with an almost certain custodial sentence, he'll not be "fit and proper" anymore and there must be a question of proceeds of crime action. A right mess.
One to add to Posh, where there must be some repercussions to the apparent falling out of the club's financiers and the company which owns the ground being put into administration in pursuance of unpaid loan instalments.
The less versus fewer jousting rumbles on, just as (in my book) number and amount (eg of people) does.
Life’s too short. My ‘should of’ jest in response to @Wendoverman’s put down also rumbles on, it seems.
I saw a reference this morning to my comment (? which thread) about not remembering Gary Thompson. I think it was in the Museum thread. Was there really ever a Gary Thompson at Wycombe?
Ok, I overcame my laziness and paid a visit to Google. How I’ve failed to remember someone who played 86 times for Wycombe and scored one of our three goals against the mighty Spurs (?!!) a few years ago is probably best left to the medical profession. I think the diagnosis would probably be a blind spot when it comes to recognising the important contribution to Wycombe’s success made by big target men.
Definitely a candidate for the Museum of Curiosities. My mental block. Not me, although I can see there is probably a good case.
He wasn’t actually a big target man, he was a very rapid winger in his heyday and I believe when he was at Wycombe was still one of the fastest sprinters in the squad.
Thompson was an aging though decent player during our having no pot to pee in period. I was also surprised you should of forgot that stunning Spurs goal @micra ?
Congratulations to Ascot who have won the FA Vase at Wembley this afternoon, in their team is local lad Harry Tucker who grew up in Holmer Green. Know the parents, well chuffed for them, what an experience.
I was pleased that Forest secured survival without it having to go to the last day...but shocked how Arsenal have dropped in form. I would have been quite happy for Man City's rampant march to the treble to be stopped by the Gunners, but despite the odd blip, it looks like buying all the best players works in the end.
Glossing quickly over your sloppy use (as a verb) of of of course - can’t imagine myself ever doing that - I remember listening to the commentary on the wireless and getting unusually excited about at least being able to watch a replay at Adams Park. For some reason I didn’t see highlights so I’ve no mental image of the Thompson goal (or indeed of the man himself) ! I just assumed he was a big target man because he scored with a header from Myles Weston’s cross.

That's how I imagine some Gasroomers will be if we are mid-table in December. 😊
If?
I like your optimism.

You really should of. I need spoon feeding these days I’m so bloody lazy.
"Should of", from you of all people, @micra!
A ‘should of’ from our resident pedant.
This is a dark day in the Gasroom’s history.
I know. Weird sense of humour coming out in a situation of embarrassment.
@Wendoverman is brilliant at putting people in their place. Totally deserved it.
Alex Cairns in goal for Salford - the last GK beaten by a JJ corner special, I believe

Cracking tifos at Forest.
An extreme example, but just goes to show the danger of relying on the money of one person...
It's be so Arsenal to seal the title for City today wouldn't it.
Congratulations to all the Forest fans on here!
No place putter me @micra. A little jest is all.
What a night for Forest. Thanks to Steve Cooper and the lads!
Will put in to doubt the future of Parsons and Phillips careers too

His management career lasted two games before he was sacked.
That’s kinda rubbin’ it in, young Chris !
Lost both games 5-0
There was a period we were trying relentless long balls to Hayes and Thompson and it was painfully obvious a rethink was needed.
Cue Bayo and other attackers being signed that next summer and a decent reset.

I believe the sub Mealings is another Wycombian.
Vini Jr. racially abused yet again. Spain has a serious problem.
