Cracking first half from Oxford’s main football club to lead St. Albans 4-0.
All over them and playing some lovely stuff. Josh Parker looking a class act up front and scored a smashing goal in injury time to put them out of sight surely. Andre Burley looking the part too.
just think if the PNL had got relegated they’d have only been one division between the two clubs.
Thought Josh looked superb in that first half, proper centre forward's performance. Mad to think City, who not that long ago were playing in the local park, will be in the same league as Chesterfield next season.
Over 3,000 there today, their biggest ever crowd at their current ground.
Carlisle's shirt is a fair effort. But doesn't look right with the light shorts and socks for me. Presumably a 'kit clash' cos Bradford have black shorts?
Seems remarkably calm, balanced and reasonable. I thought the most contentious issue would have been the additional two minutes of added time at the end of 90 minutes but, to be fair, there were a couple of cramping incidents.
It was great for the neutral. Even better for us. And the addition of yet another fairly short away trip is a bonus. And Coventry could be added to the list.
I’ve not looked at the detail but, with the Championship relegations and the League 2 promotions, there must be getting on for 40-50% shortish trips next season.
Eleven of the 23 grounds within an easy 2 hour drive with Burton and Derby doable at speed in 2 hours.
Much shorter journeys this season than last with Northampton, Stevenage, Orient and Reading joining League One and we have lost Plymouth, Ipswich, Morecambe and Accrington. Only team we have lost within 2 hours is FGR.
A lot to look forward too with Reading being a stand out as our closest League club
Some Posh fans are blaming a biased ref and poor timekeeping for conceding four goals and then not being able to hang on once they scored the goal that would have clinched their place in the Final. Funny old game.
I live very close to the station on the south west side and have parked just outside Green Park to walk to games.
You are unable to access the train station unless you drive all the way around to the East entrance to Green Park. This involves having to drive over Junction 11 and past the stadium or down the Bath Road from the West. Turns a 5 minute drive in to a potential 20-25 minute drive on a busy day.
You have no opportunity now to park on the lanes close to the station but outside Green Park due to new parking restrictions.
All this was deliberately done to stop West Berks residents accessing the train station easily. Green Park is in the Borough of Reading and the boarder is the railway line.
Oh, @floyd ! You know how lazy I’ve become - witness my cluelessness about robins at Coventry which prompted a brilliant response from @Wendoverman. Oakwell sounds vaguely familiar but, as for three goalscorers……,,,.,I’m stumped. Didn’t realise we had so many!

According to the map, there's a Nevile Road nearby.

Is this the first time they've ever been in the fifth tier?
Yes, highest in their entire history. Great stuff from our old Isthmian sparring partners.

This season, in general, the play-offs have been fantastic. Both legs of the Wednesday / Posh tie have been so so entertaining.
Josh Knight with an OG in the 98th minute to make it 5-0.
Alan Swann will probably blame it on Wycombe 😀
Hahahaha. That’s all
I don't think Peterborough would have won the final even if they had gone through. I am not even sure Wednesday will!
Brilliant win for Wednesday.
Anyone got a link to Swannys match report😩💩🤧?

Would be harsh on Coventry if they were relegated for losing the play-off final.
If Coventry lose their promotion playoff, do they now get relegated to Lg1 @micra
Seems a bit harsh!

Whoops! I must have come over all unnecessary.
Just realised. Anyone under 40 (?) or just plain southern wouldn’t have heard that expression.
To be fair, if MK make the L2 playoffs next season and lose, they should be relegated to the Conference.
Given all the drama so far tonight’s game will be a turgid affair settled on penalties.

Reading Green Park, a new railway station on the Basingstoke line, opens 27th May. A 20 min walk to Reading FC.
Sad to think that the three goal scorers from this seasons win at Oakwell no longer play for us.
Congrats to Barnsley

They've actively made it difficult for people to access a train station? That sounds a bit silly doesn't it?

Mehmeti, Gape and Freeman all scored there to give us a 3-0 win against Barnsley earlier this season.
Thanks @floyd. Great trio. Sadly missed.
