Although Brackley are still fourth and in a play-off spot, three draws and five defeats in the last eight, ending with a 2-1 home defeat to bottom club Telford yesterday, did for him.
Ali Al-Hamadi has apologised on Twitter after a spat with a Wimbledon supporter at full time yesterday. It comes after they drew with Harrogate, having been 2-0 up with 89 mins on the clock.
Didn’t he do the job as something of a favour living locally? Made a shed load as a Premier League player so doesn’t need the money and not likely to move away from the area to find work. Back on the golf course for Rog.
I'd like to ask him about his time with Chestnut FC. Does he only play for them at xmas? Did he help them conker the league or did they regularly get a roasting?
Not that I want to join the ranks of 'the players we no longer have are better than the players we have'...we could do with a couple of decent centre forwards (of some sort) on the books seeing as even if Vokesy stays...injuries are surely going to be an ongoing issue next season.
First time he scores I’m thinking yeah lower level easy. A couple of goals later I’m thinking ah everyone has a streak. 10 goals later I’m thinking but yeah but all his goals are close range tap ins so he’s still not the real deal.
I suspect I will still be in denial that we fucked up when he’s hitting goals like Watkins and Toney in the Premier League following a 20million transfer and we find out our sell on was worth £50k
He definitely has the pedigree from his youth football although it's taken him a while to shine, and he's got international football exposure, could be that something has finally clicked or he's just getting a run of games that will continue as long as he's scoring. Still a success for the Development team if we get a sell on fee and have helped him progress.
Hard to tell what his ceiling is. Take Max Watters as a recent example: Cardiff signed him off the back of 13 goals in 15 games for Crawley in League Two - clearly a great record, but a tiny sample size, and he did F-all in the Championship. Seems to have done ok in League One and might get back to Champ, but it's an enormous jump.

Left BT Sport running at my desk and Bayo is on their 'Score' show (Soccer Saturday equivalent)
Roger Johnson leaves Brackley Town my mutual consent

Seems harsh on Roger that, a bit of a poor run at the wrong time and gets the bullet. Still every chance they could go up.
He’d done quite well in his first managerial job - possibly a bit against expectations! - and hopefully he’’ll now get another chance elsewhere.

Sky sports added an Ibrahim in there so he's now AIAH the first
Quite fun YouTube series, some really good behind the scenes stuff, if a bit overly matey / show offy.

AAH - the Dave Tarpey of League One?
He might well have had scouts watch, but Manchester City supposedly watched Kyle Hudlin...
