While on the subject of Other Football, Wednesday could do us a huge favour tonight. I'd hate to go in to the Barnsley game off the back of a Bolton win today.
More than a sniff of them wanting to get this done before they go to Arsenal and everyone there wishes him well and reminds him what a legend he was. Palace always used to finish a point above relegation anyway and have no strikers.
This may be football manager related primarily but Dennis Man and Emmanuel Dennis existing and being two different people confused me a lot for a brief period.
Actually shev they didn’t, Wanderers were the better team by far in the second half and if the ref had given us the nailed on penalty we should have had when Charles was brought down it would have proved it. In the end it was a fair result and means you need two wins now to get ahead of us so with some tough matches coming up there’s still a lot to do for you. On paper we now have 8 relatively winnable games, other than the Shrews no teams in the top half but you never know in football so no chickens counted. 😉
Cheers @FarmerCee - it shows how much stats lie, as I was just looking at the 13 shots to 4 and 7 shots on target to 1. I know all too well that does not always tell the story!
I am not even sure it is you we have the best chance of catching, as your schedule is opening up per @Malone above. I am actually hoping we can beat Barnsley and bring them back into it. Beating both Derby and yourselves led both clubs into a little bit of an indifferent patch of results, so if we could do the same with Barnsley, maybe another team could be added to the mix with the matches they still have to play.
Bristol City play Sunday, which makes it easier to take a peek at how Mehmeti is getting on. Odds are he is waiting for more Wycome eyeballs before scoring his first goal.
If you really think about it, Arsenal are the original Franchise FC. Relocated completely out of their original home, don't have a name that represents a location and the part of their old name they did keep has nothing to do with the place they relocated to.

Such a game changer of a weekend.
Wrong couple of results and the playoffs will look a dream, right couple, and it's actually edged in our favour!
Come on Sheff Wed!
I was thinking why is that game tonight, then I remembered Wednesday have beef with Rotherham.
Sheff Wed 1 -0 up. Brilliant.
Get in there Wednesday!

Bolton equalize. Gah.
Not part of the plan.
Bolton looking the better team towards the end of the half too.
Sheffield Wednesday - you have one job. You are leading the league and you are at home. Don't mess this up for us!
The four horsemen of the apocalypse are submitting their applications for the post now:
Roy Hodgson
Frank Lampard
Scott Parker
and Sol Campbell
Parker was light infantry and has no equestrian experience
Still managed to get given a horse though.
Much like how he's a terrible manager but still got given one of the top jobs in Belgium
Hence the long face
Finished 1-1 at Hillsborough. Not sure how disappointed to be, though based on stats it sounds like Wednesday had much the better of it.
Bit disappointing as that was their hardest game left by a mile on paper.
They've only 2 teams of their last 8 above midtable now (9th Shrewsbury and 11th Exeter).
However may well be a relegation battler to upset them.
We need to do our job. Draw or better and we're right in it still.

It's a big ask though - they have been on fire.
So win tomorrow and 1pt behind with game in hand. Not bad.
Barnsley have Wednesday next Tuesday.
Tjay is in the Gibraltar squad for next week's games
Bristol City play Sunday, which makes it easier to take a peek at how Mehmeti is getting on. Odds are he is waiting for more Wycome eyeballs before scoring his first goal.
He's been called up to the Albanian squad so will probably take it easy,
Not good with Vokes injured
QPR 0-1 after 3 mins...
Can you imagine if Gibraltar played a prominent role in the L1 run in?
It's the absolute sod's law that there's an international week just when he's properly broken into the team, and also with Vokes out too.
Incredible shithousery from the Rotherham ground staff today. The game got abandoned. https://twitter.com/Ccfc1925/status/1637133932318670850?t=CifPDrYO6Hb4cj1SkVIP-Q&s=19
