Gareth and Dobbo would have final sign off, but that side of things should be ok, as that's Sam's job in the development team. Agents are constantly coming to him with players and he does a lot of the game watching.
This Skuse guy is meant to be hot property, so hopefully that's our next big development player.
This is my biggest fear. I think this was all down to Dobbo for many years. I think Sam Grace is probably now up to speed as well. However, the whole pyschology side and interview structure probably still sat with Dobbo.
Hopefully there is another Dobbo we can identify quickly and get on board. Perhaps Sam can do that, if not we need someone sharpish.
I think David Wheeler would be an excellent assistant but he still offers so much on the pitch. Whether he would be into the pyschology is another matter but I think he gets it, gets the impact on footballers and would be intelligent and articulate enough to be a great sounding board for future Wycombe players.
I've taken this worse than expected. Perhaps a little harsh in the cold light of day. Just didn't want to see that last night.
Signing leaving cards is great fun. You can write any old nonsense and get away with it. I once wrote 'Will you marry me? Love Jill.' I hope that gave old Norman a warm glow into his retirement, although I doubt anyone reads through the plethora of 'all the best' s
If Matt managed to get a "Wycombe" release clause inserted into his contract at Col U, then he's an even bigger legend than before. The teeth gnashing and knuckle dragging levels BTL on Col U's Twitter posts a timely reminder of why people of my vintage will always thoroughly detest them.
Bloomfield has a huge amount to prove, though he's in as good an environment as he could hope for to develop himself, evolve and develop the club further and write new chapters in the illustrious history of our great club. Hopefully our support can get right behind him and give him the space and time he needs.
Surely having sold Mehmeti, gained compensation for Ainsworth and Dobbo, unloaded a few players in Jan and improved our league position (meaning higher attendances in the second half of the season), that projected £3m deficit should've come down significantly?
Agreed! I don't want to belabour the point too much, as I think the Couhigs have done marvelous things for our club, but coming on the heels of Pete Couhig chiming in with Darragh's dissing of Peterborough fans with "it's not just yours", it felt like a bit of a common theme.
Yes, football fans (and sports fans in general) often let their "pashun" get the better of them, and I am sure some of the opinionated takes are difficult to swallow when you are working hard and seeing the full picture, but these kind of comments make me a little uneasy about how the fanbase is seen.

Heavens above, those interviews on Wycombe TV are something else.
Not a dry eye in the house, I think I heard the cameraman sniffle at one point.
We were truly blessed to have had those guys as long as we did.
Dobbo's farewell, articulate and intelligent as ever and Gareth make an excellent partnership.
I wish them and their families nothing but success for the future. Wonderful human beings.

I see Wheels as a future Chair of the PFA

He's made a pretty good start by becoming their Sustainability Champion
Will that role last for long though?
I think so. I'm meant to be talking to him about it soon, so I should find out.
(just a little joke son)
Oh ffs 🤦

According to an interview with the Col U chairman (somewhere on bbc) the only clause was compensation should another club want to take him.
Agreed. He will do a great job and he has a tremendous work ethic.
I just hope the Couhigs give him the financial backing to retain the current playing budget to thus enable him to challenge near the top.
He will need time to establish/impose his own style on the job but I have no doubt he will succeed in the role.
COME ON YOU BLUES!!!!!
So you are happy to see us have another £3m deficit next season?
Surely having sold Mehmeti, gained compensation for Ainsworth and Dobbo, unloaded a few players in Jan and improved our league position (meaning higher attendances in the second half of the season), that projected £3m deficit should've come down significantly?
No not at all but we need to look at other ways of working. You nor I have the information at our finger tips to know how the deficit is made up.
Where did you hear about Skuse? I’ve heard the same.

Don't you mean Skura?
Sorry yeah absolutely. Skuse is Col U if I remember correctly! Haha
To be fair, I'd been calling him Skuba until someone corrected me
But yes, I've heard only good things about him from the Kingstonian side
At least the Couhigs haven't openly called any of our fans a "dickhead" yet
When is the first interview as manager?
I thought they called us "subscribers"
Have the vaguest link into someone well involved in it all.
Obviously not as good an ITK as our Mehmeti/Ainsworth link guy, as he'd not heard anything by Monday on this big management switcheroo 😂
Whoops...my fault.
Such a big prospect I've got the name wrong 🤣
Even if that’s come down to 1M this season, we are already heading for a deficit of 2-2.5M if the squad remains strong.
We must plan accordingly and lower the playing budget by 1.5-2M, subject to income from Playoffs and if we are still in League One
Lee Harrison is coming back too https://twitter.com/wwfcofficial/status/1628439478380515329
All seems a little harsh on Erbil!
