Amersham, unusually, are going very well in Spartan One this season, currently third. Although I would like us to play there, parking is very limited around the ground. I hope to go to Buckingham Ath v Flackwell Heath next Tuesday.
It's good that the 'big' clubs are playing each other, gives more of a chance to the smaller ones. Maybe we will get to play at Newport Pagnell, after Covid robbed us of the chance.
Probably the most intriguing club left are Shrivenham, playing at step 5 in the Hellenic Premier. A village of 2,400 and situated on the extreme west of Oxon, a few miles from Swindon, that would be a bit of long haul on a Tuesday evening. It would, however, be a big shock if they won at Hungerford, even though they are second from bottom in National South.
43 years since our last visit to Spratley Meadow for a so called competitive game. A crowd of 300 saw the Magpies draw 3-3 with the Wanderers in the Bowyers Challenge cup.
Buckingham Athletic v Flackwell Heath has been postponed tonight due to the rain.
Maidenhead v Slough is still on tonight. Yesterday Slough announced that Jon Underwood and Neil Baker, joint managers since May 2013, have stepped down. Scott Davies is one of three in temporary charge.
An extraordinary result, given that Didcot play one level above the Swans, although the Railwaymen started with a completely different eleven to their league team last Saturday. The club are in an injury crisis and didn't want to risk senior players, calling on the Development squad to make up the numbers.
5-0 at half-time, Albie Hall scored six goals, to add to his hat-trick on Sunday in the 4-1 Vase win at Baldock.
35 years ago Aylesbury United were putting in a serious challenge to our dominance as Bucks premier football club. I imagine Beaconsfield were playing in the London Spartan lge alongside Amersham Town. I don't think they even competed in the B&B senior Cup in those days.
It's been a long hard decline for the Ducks, since they lost their ground.
Maidenhead United v Marlow and Flackwell Heath v Amersham Town were postponed tonight, because of waterlogged pitches. Maidenhead has been rearranged for 31 January.
Bracknell Town v Newport Pagnell Town is on 24 January.
The annoying thing of having 2 counties in the same FA. Just think Reading, Newport Pagnell & Hungerford are all the furtherest clubs that are prob quite close to being in a different county. I thought Hungerford was in Oxfordshire....?

WW might as well run a raffle for the fans to play in the B&B it is so low in the priorities.

Bracknell Town or Newport Pagnell Town v Wycombe Wanderers

Bracknell v Newport Pagnell is due to be played next Tuesday, shame it couldn't have been a more local team.

It's in Berkshire, but almost in Wiltshire.
Used to be called Hungerford Regis in 13th Century.
NPT would be good, unfinished business.
Matches to be played by 1st March, final will be at Ascot United on Tuesday 25th April.
Bring on the Pagnell. A swan unification match. It’s what our late Queen would’ve wanted.
Ah, so now I see why we are holding Mawson out...
