  • This evening's results.

Thatcham Town 3-3 Marlow (Marlow win 5-3 on pens)

    Aylesbury United 0-2 Chesham United

Newport Pagnell Town v Didcot Town (postponed, new date TBC)

Buckingham Athletic v Flackwell Heath (postponed, rescheduled for 15 November)

Maidenhead United host Slough Town on 15 November.

  • The Second Round was drawn after the game at Thatcham tonight.

    Chesham United v Beaconsfield Town

    Hungerford Town v Shrivenham

Buckingham Athletic / Flackwell Heath v Amersham Town

Maidenhead United / Slough Town v Marlow

Bracknell Town v Newport Pagnell Town / Didcot Town

Ties to be played by 1 January.

  • Aylesbury Vale Dynamos 2-6 Beaconsfield Town

    Sounds like an u9’s fixture

  • Hopefully Flackwell can beat Buckingham next week and then Wycombe draw the winner of the Flackwell v Amersham tie.

  • Amersham, unusually, are going very well in Spartan One this season, currently third. Although I would like us to play there, parking is very limited around the ground. I hope to go to Buckingham Ath v Flackwell Heath next Tuesday.

It's good that the 'big' clubs are playing each other, gives more of a chance to the smaller ones. Maybe we will get to play at Newport Pagnell, after Covid robbed us of the chance.

Probably the most intriguing club left are Shrivenham, playing at step 5 in the Hellenic Premier. A village of 2,400 and situated on the extreme west of Oxon, a few miles from Swindon, that would be a bit of long haul on a Tuesday evening. It would, however, be a big shock if they won at Hungerford, even though they are second from bottom in National South.

  • WW might as well run a raffle for the fans to play in the B&B it is so low in the priorities.

  • 43 years since our last visit to Spratley Meadow for a so called competitive game. A crowd of 300 saw the Magpies draw 3-3 with the Wanderers in the Bowyers Challenge cup.

So we are long over due a visit.

  • Remember it well! Could tell you some stories about that match !

  • Buckingham Athletic v Flackwell Heath has been postponed tonight due to the rain.

Maidenhead v Slough is still on tonight. Yesterday Slough announced that Jon Underwood and Neil Baker, joint managers since May 2013, have stepped down. Scott Davies is one of three in temporary charge.

Newport Pagnell play Didcot tomorrow night.

  • Maidenhead beat Slough 7-6 on penalties, 1-1 after 90 minutes, both goals were first half penalties.

  • Tonight's result.

Newport Pagnell Town 8-1 Didcot Town.

An extraordinary result, given that Didcot play one level above the Swans, although the Railwaymen started with a completely different eleven to their league team last Saturday. The club are in an injury crisis and didn't want to risk senior players, calling on the Development squad to make up the numbers.

5-0 at half-time, Albie Hall scored six goals, to add to his hat-trick on Sunday in the 4-1 Vase win at Baldock.

80 spectators watched in the rain tonight.

  • I hope the ever-prolific Mr and Mrs Triallist have managed to round up enough of their most talented sons to be able to round out our Ringers XI.

  • Flackwell Heath host Buckingham Athletic tomorrow evening, to complete Round One. The match has been moved to Wilks Park because of two postponements.

Round Two gets underway tomorrow evening as well, Hungerford Town are at home to Shrivenham.

  • Chesham have been kicked out for fielding an ineligible player in their win over Aylesbury.

Buckingham Athletic have withdrawn as they are unable to raise a team against Flackwell.

  • Tonight's result.

    Hungerford Town 7-0 Shrivenham

    Half-time 3-0, a hat-trick for Leighton Thomas.

  • The Second Round continues tonight, the remaining fixtures:

Aylesbury United v Beaconsfield Town (19 Dec)

Bracknell Town v Newport Pagnell Town (20 Dec)

Flackwell Heath v Amersham Town (10 Jan)

Maidenhead United v Marlow (10 Jan)

The Aylesbury game at Chesham is still on at the moment.

  • FT Aylesbury United 1-6 Beaconsfield Town (HT 1-1).

The match was switched to Beaconsfield's Holloways Park.

  • 35 years ago Aylesbury United were putting in a serious challenge to our dominance as Bucks premier football club. I imagine Beaconsfield were playing in the London Spartan lge alongside Amersham Town. I don't think they even competed in the B&B senior Cup in those days.

It's been a long hard decline for the Ducks, since they lost their ground.

  • The Bracknell game tonight has been postponed due to a burst pipe in the clubhouse.

  • Maidenhead United v Marlow and Flackwell Heath v Amersham Town were postponed tonight, because of waterlogged pitches. Maidenhead has been rearranged for 31 January.

Bracknell Town v Newport Pagnell Town is on 24 January.

  • Quarter final draw:

    Beaconsfield Town v Reading FC

Flackwell Heath or Amersham Town v MK Dons

Bracknell Town or Newport Pagnell Town v Wycombe Wanderers

Hungerford Town v Maidenhead United or Marlow FC

Bracknell v Newport Pagnell is due to be played next Tuesday, shame it couldn't have been a more local team.

  • The annoying thing of having 2 counties in the same FA. Just think Reading, Newport Pagnell & Hungerford are all the furtherest clubs that are prob quite close to being in a different county. I thought Hungerford was in Oxfordshire....?

  • It's in Berkshire, but almost in Wiltshire.

  • Used to be called Hungerford Regis in 13th Century.

  • Matches to be played by 1st March, final will be at Ascot United on Tuesday 25th April.

  • Bring on the Pagnell. A swan unification match. It’s what our late Queen would’ve wanted.

  • Ah, so now I see why we are holding Mawson out...

  • Mrs trialist is preparing the sandwiches and flasks for her many sons as we speak

  • Not this year, cost of living has bitten. They only get an orange quarter at half-time if they have been good
