It must be an absolute nightmare. Provided there are adequate food outlets in the car park and/or people living reasonably close to Adams Park have eaten beforehand, I wouldn’t have thought going two or three hours without something to eat was that difficult. I managed it for nearly 30 years although in more recent seasons I admit I did occasionally pop a sandwich into my capacious overcoat pockets during the winter months. I was also known, disparagingly by some, as ‘the sweet guy’. Definitely not a description of me but a reference to my passing bags of sweets along the front two rows whenever Wycombe scored.
Why doesn't the club try and sell this space to some of the stalls outside? Hellfire BBQ and a few of the others could maximise their options and menus if they were allowed to use the equipment that those spaces have available!
Sell stuff on an app and have it fired from cannons on the pitch into your seat. Covers the entertainment too. Granted you'd need to seal the hot drinks well but there's options
The shortage of staff excuse never seems to affect other grounds, does it? It can only mean that we're trying to pay less than the market rate and people are rightly taking their labour elsewhere. If that's the decision then fine, but don't insult people's intelligence by claiming the concessions worked fantastically. They didn't.
As my role as a Trade Union representative for a high profile union that is currently often in the news.
I could relay some really horrific stories of third party agency recruitment, and their practices, especially in the security sector. We need to oust this rotten Tory Govt as soon as possible to start rebuilding a country that puts fairness and decency as its benchmark.
Get a few of them behind the counter, the lazy b*****ds.
Seriously, though, is there much evidence that other clubs in League 1 are doing a lot better on the catering front during the course of matches (as opposed to pre-match) as @arnos_grove suggests ?
Doncaster and Wimbledon last season were both very smooth from what I remember. I also go to the occasional Watford game and they always have queues, but they run at full capacity and you don't tend to wait unreasonably long. Wembley usually great on they front.
Chips at £15 a portion would help cover this @ChasHarps . My pension may not. An ongoing world/human problem.
Why Brexit? Just returned from France and they are having exactly the same problems with hospitality industry staff. Many part closed restaurants and staff just failing to turn up.
I noticed these people advertising on the big screen on Saturday. If that's who's providing the catering staff, sack them off. If it's not, get them in.
We're having this issue in every industry, it's not just Brexit although the rules and tone of much of the debate there will have put people off coming here, but a Daily mail / Express appeasing "looking good on the numbers" view from this government has made it very difficult or unnatractive for many people to come to the country even if needed and only temporary.
One hates to labour the point, but we do have as our chairman probably the only Republican in New Orleans, a man who told all staff to look for jobs at the start of the pandemic because he wouldn't subsidise them, a man who boasts of cost cutting and wringing every last cent out of the assets we have. Something tells me we're not offering the highest wages in the market.
What equipment is that? At best outdated, at worst thrown out/ condemned
Travel to the ground must be a huge factor in staffing, it's just a nightmare, and for a few hours work every other week, I can see why we struggle more than other stadiums.

Use a dumbwaiter! I thought they only ate crisps up there anyway.

Time for brunch.

getting an ice cream van into the Frank Adams now that would be half time entertainment
And I'm not sure they would sell well for 75% of the season when it's colder (altho the ice creams would last longer....!)
On @ReturnToSenda's new chairlift obviously
Nah, I think we're gonna need a transporter bridge of some sort

We manage to get stewards in pretty easily don't we?
Is it that much harder to get someone to do some basic serving?
A healthy amount of Stewards are long term Wanderers fan, so getting paid for your passion is reasonably attractive proposition.
Whilst serving in a hot kiosk, serving over priced, poor quality food whilst regularly getting moaned at by customers is not so attractive.
Coupled with the fact, the pay is low, its difficult to get to, and neither the agency or the club give a toss about you.
Stewards in the Frank Adams outnumbered the servers by about 30:1

No-one's allowed to say it, but Brexit is also to blame...
Get Mick Lynch in to sort it out
'Lynch's Lunches'
Beer and Sandwiches .
From my experiences last season, yes they are, more choice, more reasonable prices and no dirty great queues

Why are they using noughties text speak?
Don't worry...one of the advantages of trade deals with slave labour economies is relaxed Visa rules.
Bloody hell, don't go into PR whatever you do 😅

Can we not tap into some sort of community service gang.
Now it's all cashless, there's no risk there. What could go wrong...
Can't get the staff these days.
