I thought they grew in to the game and could have easily been looking at 1-1 with 10 minutes to go.
As a Tommy tick off game it was great value at £10 with some good football on show. I reckon some of the better womens teams would give our boys a stern test.
Really feel for Belgium, they defended really well for 90+ minutes only to fail to clear a corner right at the end which reulted in Sweden getting the winner.
Whilst England will afford Sweden the respect they deserve given their world ranking & pedigree, they showed nothing so far in this tournament that will worry the Lionesses
You do love Cause for Because don’t you @ReturnToSenda ! That little apostrophe would be soooo welcome (although, as an extreme Oldie, I’d obviously prefer ‘because’ !). I know you only do it to annoy me 😡😜
Excellent game between France & Netherlands this evening.
The French started like a train and were all over Netherlands in the first half, but couldn't buy a goal, as the second half wore on the Dutch came into it more but were frankly second best for most of it. The Dutch looked disjointed for most of the match and far too often took too many touches allowing the French to regroup and nullify any attacking intent from the Dutch. They remained in the game largely due to the keeper van Domselaar & RCB Van der Gragt who were absolutely awesome - hard to believe the former was their 2nd choice before the tournament and the latter doesn't currently have a club, having left Ajax at the end of the season.
The French got a penalty in the first period of extra time after the ref reviewed it on the monitor, having failed to give it initially; whilst van Domselaar got her hands to it, Perisset had placed it too well for it to be kept out.
The French ran out deserved winners but were ridiculously profligate in front of goal, something they can ill afford to do against Germany in the semi-final.
Stunning garbage in the replies, apparently a supporter owned club couldn't possibly be ripping off its fans and all purchases are entirely optional so if you feel left out or little Jonny wants it it's your own fault

£10? But it was on the Beeb. Whoops, quickly fallen in - you were at the Community Stadium.
The organisers were a bit short-sighted with the venue for this one. 12,000 capacity and they can't even use one end cause it's terracing...
What ground is it?
Leigh Sports Village (Man United Women and U23s, and Leigh Centurions rugby league)
Ah. Odd choice.
Belgium could Wycombe this.
Gutting for Belgium.

I wasn't, but I guess I have cause to continue now...
I love you because @ReturnToSenda.
Don’t get too excited. That’s the title of a lovely sentimental old song by Jim Reeves.
Google it and look at the lyrics. Must admit I’d not seen that version of the word in print before.

I can think of one place they won't be wearing it.

This is a cracking game so far.
It is a very good game between two closely matched sides
Another cracking goal from the lionesses
Beth Mead has been superb at taking her chances
That was exhausting
England have definitely grown into the game and improved over the half. Sweden are still incredibly dangerous on the break and pressed very well.
Mead wasn’t having a great game until that goal, but she’s been our best player up to this point. Bronze needs to get her head in the game though.
She heard me.
Sign her on!
What a cracking save! We need a goalkeeper
Wyatt Earp, I mean.
Wow wow wow
Audacious or what
A cheeky back heel
