To be fair to James he’s a young guy learning his trade, he writes and compiles the sports pages virtually on his own with little experienced support and almost no funding. He genuinely wants to give the club as much publicity and help as he can, but his resources are very limited.
Do you happen to know what the editorial structure at the BFP is these days? Do they even have their own ed anymore or is it done at group level? I assume they're still under Newsquest.
He's doing a great job mostly tbh. Good to see some focus on us.
The point I was making with the churn stuff and clickbait that plagues twitter and bad websites is that being the first to everything all the time and being first pick in the Google searches is a tech mission not a creative writing one and the likes of the BFP aren't going to win at it, probably better to be known as actually adding some depth and being a good read.
This. To me he comes across as trying to do something positive to come up with content, and provide coverage in a time where journalism has serious challenges on its hands to survive, especially of the local variety.
Not sure what the situation is now but when I did some reporting for the BFP during the lockdown season they were still Newsquest and the editor was responsible for all the local titles within the group.
Does anyone know how much support James gets from Wycombe. It's a 2 way street afterall. Be nice if our local journalist was a true voice and supporter of the club - I'm thinking Trent Crimm rather than Alan Swann.
You don't say a player "is set to join" unless it's actually about to happen - and maybe it is, but the BFP make no mention of it to substantiate that claim. No wonder people fall for fake news and what have you.
In early messages, you have stated that the reporting & sourcing for the BFP is questionable at best. So why does it change when someone sees something and posts it on here for the justification to change to 'It's not true unless BFP says so' (para-phrased)?
It would be believable if they used a reputable source / had an inside track at the club and a reputation for breaking such news. But no, they refer to two Twitter accounts with a combined 58 followers which were both created this month. Can you really not see the issue with that?
If Mawson does sign it might explain why we didn’t move heaven and earth to keep Stewart. Forino is obviously well regarded by the management so its economics I guess.
Vegas made a run to the finals that first year of existence (though we moved to Denver days before their first game) but lost to Washington. I had been excited about the new franchise for a few years leading up to it (as the process took forever) but after five years of living in Denver and watching Avs games, my allegiance is thoroughly Colorado, with Vegas a distant second - though the atmosphere at the Vegas arena for games is incredible.
I don't have much winning mojo - this is the first time I have supported a team to win a major championship here!

I think he's making a great effort to be fair, at least he is, much better than previous years

Its been reported on Twitter that Alfie Mawson has signed for the club on a 3yr deal and Mawson & Bishop will be announced at the end of the week.....
Just in time for a training kit reveal?
Link?
Great news. Gareth and Dobbo working on a late bid for Richarlison?
Sadly not a reputable source. Don’t they have about 7 followers? Haha
🤦🤦🤦

Big day tomorrow.

Talk about mixed signals & double standards.....
More noise from Fulham fans

Is this the news you were hinting at last night/this morning @Malone ??

From the outside view now, the local twitter verified journalist has tweeted it, exactly the same as the Stewart Aberdeen situation.
Obviously their guy had his eye on the ball and was correct, whilst our guy seems to be relying on dodgy twitter accounts.
If Mawson does sign it might explain why we didn’t move heaven and earth to keep Stewart. Forino is obviously well regarded by the management so its economics I guess.
It's the Colorado Avalanche victory parade here. I did not realize anyone else was paying attention.
Didn’t the Knights win it when you lived in Vegas? I think it’s time you brought your victory mojo to the chair metropolis!
It certainly makes the rumoured off record comment from Rob Couhig about how Stewie wouldn't make next year's team seem clear!
Just be patient, and you will be richly rewarded.

Oh you big tease @Malone!
Malone seems to have become the Gasroom fluffer.
