This is it. If you type in the bit where it says "type your comment" it doesn't work and you get the story about JSON and the quill operations. It does work if you type in the box above though, while simultaneously showing the html stuff in the box below. Struggling to describe it any better than that, sorry!
The other day I got two comments boxes and a load of hieroglyphics. May have resulted from me trying to cancel out a downward thumb. It doesn’t work like it did on the old Gasroom 2. I’ve been rumbled. I feel humbled but I’m not contrite.
Ha. This thing is built in PHP, one of my most loathed programming languages so I'm a bit hit and miss with it. Turned out I'd overwritten a rather important file which is what broke it in the first place.
@Right_in_the_Middle That's probably caching on your phone's browser, hopefully that will fix itself soon enough. @ReturnToSenda soz, thought you were one of the ones getting it but you were the one who couldn't post in Windows Chrome. Lemme know if that now works when you get the chance ta.
Twas me @drcongo, posting in Edge. The erroneous "type your comment" box below has now disappeared and typing in the large comment box is absolutely fine. One final question, is the paragraph mark supposed to be showing to the left of the comment box? When I click it, I can toggle the heading menu, list menu or special formats menu.

Yes, it just gives you some formatting options and shows you what format you're currently typing as.
I have been reticent in commenting until I had used the site for a few days. Now confident in commenting what a massive upgrade. Many thanks @drcongo a brilliant transfer move.
@drcongo. Is something wrong with the edit function? I've tried making changes to my post of 2:58 on the DCFC thread but they don't seem to appear. I tried both saving the post and posting the comment.

A small think, but the new gasroom doesn't seem to like Microsoft Edge much. Possibly only since the recent updates were made though.
