It was very funny seeing them go from calling us a scummy club before the match and laughing at Leahy and Hanlan's injuries last season, to having to admit they got "Ole'd" by us dancing around them all game.
Brings back memories of the site having to remind you to write "nm" for no message, so people didn't bother clicking into that message expecting something in the body of it.
re the goal difference, +24 now. Don't think it's ever been higher since we were promoted to the league? Finished the 21/22 Sunderland play off final season with +24, but that was after a final day win so never hit +25 before. Hopefully we score first at Charlton to reach new heights...
Thank you. The second half came over OK, possibly due to moving into another room. The tuning on a small portable radio is very fine. The commentary was very much "home team". They did end up praising the Wanderers but rather grudgingly.
We're actually on track to finish with 102, which I believe would be our highest of all time at any level (although we only played 42 games when finishing on 101 points in 1986/87)
Having just seen the highlights show, this was another harsh penalty decision. The Wrexham one was ridiculous but this was also a terrible decision in my opinion. Some of these officials definitely favour the big boys.
It just shows what progress we have made to be able to cope without Josh. Really glad he is back though. That midfield three of Scowen, Humphreys and Morley is amazing.
Yesterday really could have been another Stockport if we were slightly more clinical.
There are few things better than a fanbase who hates your club grudgingly admitting through gritted teeth that you played them off the park. The Stevenage forum was a fun read!
It was also good to see Gideon Kodua on the bench yesterday, he will be a very useful player during the second half of the season. I also hope that Sadlier is near to returning as he will give us yet another alternative for the remainder of the season.
@Gary Yes agree, the Wrexham penalty decision was a genuine howler. One of the very, very rare occasions when I think VAR would actually be useful. The Birmingham one was also very poor. Stansfield I think it was, ducked under a headed challenge, so the defender ended up going over the top of him. Should really be a free kick to Burton, incredibly harsh to award a penalty.
The club have really upped their trolling game this season. I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea but I for one love that they upload these types of videos.

That forum layout is giving me an aneurysm. We really are lucky over here
I like how Stevenage dropped the 'Borough' to sound less non-League, yet their fans clearly still use it by default
It is designed for typing with twelve fingers, which makes it look strange.

You need to change the clock on your computer to 1997

Could be huge if it gets really tight with Wrexham and Huddersfield.
That was a 3rd gear victory. We coasted. Could have scored more. Nice to see absentees make a few minutes.
We are a team with a target on our back but seem to be playing with a smile on our collective faces. It’s very odd in a way to be the team to beat.
Ahh OK thanks, nope never found that, couldn't get on anything for some reason.... you're right though, looks hard work !
We've scored 2+ in 16/21 games. Fairly impressive!
I do hope @wingnut was able to sort out his radio reception and was able to listen to the commentary.
4 more points and we're safe.

38 more points to beat our previous EFL best

Had a quick look how that would match against the last 2 seasons we were in the conference.
Suprisingly the promotion season was "only" 84 points. But that 91/92 head to head with Col U was an incredible 94 pointer.
And important to point out that was a 42 game season versus today's 46 in L1.

Very impressive that we were able to remain unbeaten through a significant spell without Sir Josh of Scowenshire.

It’s almost like there was no need to panic about it!

That had me cracking up. I wouldn't release something like that for every opponent, but Stevenage are worthy recipients.
Not for me I have to say.
Lacks class and humility, and sets us up for a fall in the future
Yikes, that's actually put out by our club?
It's for TikTok. The place young people use.
Yep, same for me
