Irony: Arsenal realizing how dangerous direct corners into six yard areas can be at the same time lower league teams faff around with pointless short corners that end up generating chances at the other end.
I swear Joe Low has nodded a few in from corners this season (though to be fair, I can't remember if they were short corners to take a different angle).
I wonder if some of it (as far as the top level) is as simple as what you practice. Arsenal have decided that Premier League level ball strikers should be able to stick a corner into a dangerous area, so they are doing it. I struggle to believe other clubs at that level would not be able to do similar if they put their minds to it.
If people aren't blaming Rav for the goal on Saturday then I'm not blaming Bishop for that one, it was a crisp shot and he was a bit unsighted. Also, people are always bamhing on about Ravs distribution, Bishops has been excellent.
-Longelo crossed it from the byline after beating his man on the right, the ball went over Tshimangas head and Kirkman ghosted in from just outside the box

-Always a good sign when the Wycombe players are surprised by the red too.

He's adding a superfluous 't' before the z
Rustier than the Titanic right now.
Bakinson fouls exactly how I imagine Inspector Gadget would.
"Nice turn from Butcher" oh he's playing is he. followed by "leahy" what? haven't noticed him either!
Does anyone else get unpleasant flashbacks to Covid football when watching these trophy games?
Looks like quite a lot of Swindon fans there?

Anyone else miss JJ?
It may be the evicted ghosts needing somewhere to go.
I feel like it’s Dec 23 again!
Hopefully we can reorganise at half time and maybe bring on some firepower
In fairness, for pretty much any team bar Arsenal - who have got ridiculously good at set-pieces - short corners are the more creative option.
What happened on Dec 23?

We were shit.
Ohhh, 2023 - sorry!
But yes, apologies to apostrophe worriers for any confusion.
Yeah, Low has scored from at least 3 (Bristol R, Wigan and Exeter)
RED
Have the railings on the terrace been painted? I'm sure they used to be light blue.
OOH
RED RED RED
"Swindon's task has just become mountainous"
Not sure about that, they're already at base camp
Now we are trailing to a 10 man team at the bottom of L2. We need to come back here!
So far we've looked like a 10 man team at the bottom of league two.
Rumours of our squad depth have been greatly exaggerated, evidently!
Don't worry, We'll bring on Kone in the second half and he'll......
...
.
I am glad we are not risking him, but it begs the question why we risked Scowen to get here.

I was blaming Ravizolli (along with Low) on Saturday. I am blaming Bishop tonight as he’s got to be saving that.

I spoke to a manager about this (not ours). The simple answer was that the data shows that short corner routines create more chances. We are data led
