  • Haven't read other comments but just off the ceiling. Our biggest win this season - looked unlikely for large parts, Mansfield gave us a stern test. For me that was a huge test of our promotion credentials passed. Massive win

    COME ON YOU BLUES!

    P.S. 10 IN A ROW!!!

  • Felt this game was ideal for Wheeler after 25 mins of the first half. Blooms clearly didn’t view it that way. If Wheeler didn’t get any minutes today then you have to wonder whether he’ll end up with Jmac at Shrews come January. I wonder if the fringe players lose interest come the turn of the calendar year. Could be pivotal to reshuffle a small proportion of the pack in January.

  • We have led every game this season apart from Wrexham on the opening day.

We are late Blackpool and Barnsley equalizers away from a 14 game league winning streak.

In our eight game win streak in the league, our "shaky" defence has conceded five total goals.

Relegation form of a point-per-game would take us to 68 points, just outside the playoffs already!

  • 10 wins, 10 draws and 10 defeats would take us to 78 points after our remaining THIRTY games!!!

That should guarantee us top 6 you would think.

    Sound ridiculous really.

Mansfield were very good, first team in awhile to really stifle us for the whole game. Fluke goal but we will take it.

    Exeter here we come!

  • We're going to win the league, we just are.

When stuff like that happens you just know

  • Stags deserved a point. I predicted a draw as Cloughie is no fool. They dragged us down to wrestling and playing head tennis with giants but still an enjoyable game with both sides pushing for a win. What an ending! Pym was very good for them which made the goal cruel. Great save from Franco...only one he had to make wasn't it?...but the going down to waste time when Jasper broke his boot was embarrassing for me. Squad still together as the celebrations showed. I love football.

  • Mansfield were really good I thought. Made it virtually impossible to pass through and backed themselves to go 3v3 at the back. We got through once or twice first half but it must be the fewest chances we've created this season by some margin.

I thought we might struggle against more physical teams this season and I think tonight showed it.

Having said that, we battled when we needed to and didn't allow ourselves to becomes frustrated.

Had we ground out a point from a difficult game that would have been perfect satisfactory. At the end of a scrappy match it would be easy for tired legs to have allowed that throw to fizzle out to nothing. To piece together a tidy set of passes in the 93rd minute to setup the 'cross' from which we scored showed good resilience.

  • Yep. We just don't have the same bite in midfield. I imagine the number of second balls won must be down dramatically.

  • Upset the whole bar in Tenerife when Leahy put it in..... COYB!

  • no wonder the courts have such a backlog with the whole bar having absconded to Tenerife

  • Got away with one tonight, celebrations for the goal were fantastic though! Flukie Lukie may have won us the game but if he was supposed to be the bite in the middle of the park it wasn’t there and we were in danger of being overrun in mid field. Still a win is a win. Come back Josh S we need you. Yet on we march…..

  • I can't shake a feeling Sir Josh is out for a while. Please let it not be so!

  • The thing I respect the most about Mansfield fans is that I have not seen a single one say "Wycombe celebrated like they won the league" or some nonsense like that. They are taking it on the chin and moving on.

  • I like it I like it I like it I like it I liiiiiiiike it liiiiikke here we goooo oh.....WINNING TEN GAMES IN A ROW

  • 2.375 points per game. Absolutely absurd

  • Unfortunately Matt Bloomfield has confirmed that Josh Scowen will be out for “some time.”

It’ll be another test of our credentials that’s for sure but with ten wins in a row, we’re passing them in style right now.

You really can’t beat the euphoria of a last-minute winner!

  • We would have been down to 10 men for a minute or two while they found a new boot for Jasper. Good thinking Franco, well done. I found it quite amusing, but maybe he did have a touch of cramp 🤔

It's obviously far from ideal, but we'll get around Scowen's absence. We're not a one-man team like Man City.

  • We were still extremely solid tonight, if not as aggressive/successful as we'd ordinarily be in regaining possession. Bakinson back fit would be a plus, though.

  • Looking at the types of clubs the Ivory Coast have selected their forwards from recently, I would say Richard Kone may get a selection look in once we are top six in the Champo next season:

  • If we can keep winning without Scowen, I can persuade myself that in the parallel universe where he is fit, we lost to flukey goals instead of scoring them.

Still gutted though - I can't get over the fact that it was late in a Pizza Cup game in which we should have already been out of sight and never brought him on.

  • The Stags were the archetypal lower league side tough and physical and they were intent on dragging us into a fight, and it almost worked.

  • Cracking game last night and Mansfield showed they have a good team (you don’t want to be man marked by Flint). Great fans as well and spoke to a few leaving and they were just of the mindset of that’s football and how it will make the journey home seem longer. We’ve all been there

  • Lads, we’re top of the league!

    We’re Wycombe Wanderers

    We’re top of the league!

  • Surely going home to play football for the nation you'd claimed asylum from would be a strange move? He'd be more likely to play for England once naturalised!

  • 10 wins on the bounce. Absolutely fantastic. We are now 11 points clear of Reading who are in 7th. Hopefully minimum of play offs this season. Scenes were amazing when the goal went in both on and off the field. Morley’s reaction is brilliant. Somehow we need to keep him.

So it was a chore at times, and credit to Mansfield for making it so, but the absolute scenes at the end were up there with the best. Maybe we did celebrate like we'd won the cup but you take your joy where you can as a fan, and that tasted like vintage, oak-aged joy.

  • Kone's celebration at the final whistle was a joy too. He just ran straight toward the Valley End, checked himself, ran back to his team mates, then decided to simply take his shirt off and whirl it around his head. He was like a fan losing his mind (just like us all). Never change Rich, never change.

  • very big ifs that are being raised here, if he were selected perhaps a very strong motivation would be to effect some shift in attitude in the country which formerly persecuted him. Strange move to some, moral imperative to others. I suspect that the opportunity will not be given, would love the guy even more if it were and he took the chance.
