I don't think it's a question of commitment. I think it's a question of FFP/P&S rules. Do we have the income to pay £500,000+ for a player? Bolton will be aware of the answer to this and will probably price us out of it - unless we do a Chelsea and sign him on a 7 year deal.
Scowen and Leahy are going to be inextricably linked as we negotiate the time out. Leahy missed a penalty for 3-1 against Crawley which would have negated the need the bring Scowen on (as we would have had to lose 4-3 to go out), Scowen comes on and gets injured, which means now Leahy is playing much more, but starts to make up for it by fluking an amazing winner.
I agree. Blooms has gone on record as saying he wants to win the trophy this year after last seasons final heartbreak. If we lost that game we were out. I'm sure with hindsight he wouldn't have risked him.
That's exactly it: hindsight. A pizza trophy game in itself isn't any more of an injury risk than a league game, but it's hard to swallow when it happens.
For what it's worth, I spotted Josh and Tyreeq by the tunnel at the end, on Tuesday, congratulating the players as they came off - both appeared mobile and were moving unhindered. Obviously it doesn't prove anything, but at least there's no surgical boot or similar situation going on...

Same here!

I have to say I was surprised that Josh made an appearance in this match, seemed like an unnecessary risk. Just my take.
I think plenty agree with you - I certainly do

It would be great to get Josh back for the Reading game, maybe from the bench.
