I think what would really make it hurt if that was Aaron's last act in a Wycombe shirt is that it wasn't impossible for him to have signed for us. Having the likes of Eze, Luke Moore, Stephen Taylor et al on loan with us was great but there was no chance at all of them signing for us and we were grateful they had helped us out.
Though the transfer window is still young, you feel there are a lot more negotiations to come especially if Aaron finds life back in Middlebrook a bit on the "Tough Sheet" side.
He was unlikely to down tools and Evatt will be delighted to have a player on his form to come in for no outlay, maybe they would have preferred a different outcome if it suited everyone, we probably won't ever find out.
Having said that there is nothing wrong with batshit crazy theories and people guessing, it's when people swear that possible things absolutely will happen with no insight that the crazy shines through.
No Forino and not much Taff though this season, hope we'll stay up...
Taylor and Morley are massive misses, but as @Wendoverman wrote about in another thread, we still have Humphreys, and I would have preferred to keep him out of all three, as creativity is such a rare talent, especially at L1 level. There are so many times in the past we had a robust, full blooded side but without that ability to pick a lock.
It's not like he's going to say something like , "I wants him gone, lad wants gone, but we're stuck with him until those rascals offer a proper fee", is he?!
'He came back with a face like a slapped arse, and I cannot see anything in him but we've got to play him as our midfield is screwed...' Evatt told the official website.
I still don't get the "Bolton and Evatt have been so unfair" angle. They have played an absolute blinder for their club!
Now that he is back there, I don't care if Evatt does the whole "nah nah" thing by touching his nose with his thumb and wiggling his fingers. They have done nothing wrong.
Though I might lose my mind if they made a juvenile TikTok video about it. Some crimes are too heinous to ignore!
Did anyone say they had acted unfairly? Think everyone was just hoping it would end differently. Evatt is a prick but hasn't done anything wrong here. They are perfectly entitled to ask for as much money as they like for him, or keep him.
It seemed like maybe he was bluffing a bit earlier but tbh it doesn't now make the slightest bit of difference whether he was or he's just dealing with what he has in front of him.
It's more the clearly idiotic management to let one of the best ball playing mids in the division leave for half a season, when they're clearly crying out for such a player in their actual team that gets most of us.
I think we're reading too much into all this. The interviews I have seen with him have all looked pretty much the same. He is a dour know-it-all sort of chap (like Pearson) and always looks like he does not like being questioned. Not only that, but the bloke knows a lot of the fans are unhappy. I doubt he would have been more effusive if Aaron was his son-in-law.
At the end of the day Morley was a Bolton player they've recalled for whatever reason. It seems he can't play for anyone else, so he's either going to finish the season with them in their team as a 'new signing' or Dan Rice is off to Lommy's lair for £16 million pounds so we can compete in the Championship.
Aaron enjoyed his time with us, we enjoyed having him. I'm living in the moment, me.
The Bolton media team playing a blinder. ‘Lets loose the sponsorship board as a back drop to Evatts interview, set up the camera in front of the fire doors, fans will love the exit analogy’
Peter O'Rourke says that Bolton have tables a bid for Peterborough midfielder Joel Randall. Why would they do that I ask.Peter O'Rourke is normally spot on with his posts.Lets hope that they don't really want Aaron Morley 🤞

I hadn't realised at first that all this "tough sheet" was an actual sponsor/brand.
I thought people were trying to be funny saying tough sh!t in some sort off dodgy accent!
It will good if he transfers from the tough sheet to the whiffaway
Unless he returns this is my last post on Aaron Morley.

😭
Evatt is a class A plonker
So all this 'Evatt doesn't want him', 'he doesn't want to play for Evatt' was bollocks
Yep, that doesn't read well for us, does it? I'm not so confident anymore.
All a game

Morley quotes are at the start of this video. Does Evatt even try to come across as a vaguely nice bloke, ever?

He reminds me of Nigel Pearson, seems to act like an arse for the sake of it
Evatt body language telling a different story to the words coming out of his mouth Re Morley.
What surprises me is that we're even bothering to watch the Evatt. I mean what can he possibly say to our benefit regarding recalling Morley?
Little Wycombe aren't used to the incredible mind games of the elite clubs and managers

Exclusive footage from Bolton's official interview with a returning Aaron Morley:
"I love the gaffer and I'm delighted to be back"
He owns shares in the company doesn't he? So a nicer than average pay off if they force him out I would have thought.
To be fair I could be getting mixed up with what the Facebook lot have said! 😅
On here there has only been people wishing diseases on Evatt and accusing him of evil, spiteful motives for bringing Morley back.
Peter O'Rourke says that Bolton have tables a bid for Peterborough midfielder Joel Randall. Why would they do that I ask.Peter O'Rourke is normally spot on with his posts.Lets hope that they don't really want Aaron Morley 🤞
Two very different players sadly. I'm not sure this would have any bearing on Morley (but hope I'm wrong!)
That moment when everyone realizes Jack Young is still on our books, and we have been waiting for this moment to bring him back and fulfill his destiny...
Unfortunately it’s being reported that Jack is out injured for a month which probably puts the final nail in his Wycombe career.
A shame as he’s probably the player on our books whose attributes are most suited to replacing Morley in terms of being a tempo setting midfielder.
