I think the red marks are a step too far but surely she’s right to correct mistakes that are being sent (I assume) to customers etc? Not correcting errors of spelling and punctuation just drives standards down even lower than they are at the moment.
There’s professional ways of doing that sort of thing and the way it was described was less than professional. The use of grammar and spelling tools can be encouraged such as things like Grammerly for example.
But to act like an over baring headteacher or a stereotypical 1980’s editor of some national newspaper to throw the work back at the offending writer for a smelling pistake (sic) or two, just makes you look incredibly unlikeable as a boss.
And as tihs setnence proves you can undresatnd the written from esaily even if intnetoinally smelt wrnog. It’s a weird quirk of the human brain. If the first and last letters are in the right places and the letters are still correct, your brain sorts it out for you. Which is why smelt jumps out more than the rest.
Ancient Hebrew worked similarly (though not the same) as how you describe language in your last sentence, as there are no vowel letters but it works much the same way, as the consonants are generally enough, though still creating some ambiguity.

Have you read any of my other posts? I must win the “Gasroomer most likely to edit his posts” award simply because of my fat fingers, touch of dyslexia and the fact I get bored going through and spell checking myself.
If there’s no wiggly red line under it, it’ll do. It’s the gasroom not a written exam.
The latest delay appears to be around Azeez leaving for a pot load of cash to Milwall and who gets that cash. Rightly Rob will think that if their prize asset has been sold for x and he was in the books for x then the sale price now equals y-x. But I am sure the current owner will just be thinking 'coool, more cash for me'.
I wonder if the outlook will change if the deal does not happen before the transfer window closes. They can't buy players of course but cash generation by selling players will also end.
It wouldn't be Dai Yongge without this ridiculous brinkmanship for the sake of it. I really cannot understand the point of dragging this out any longer. If I could wave a magic wand and just remove him from football, I would in a heartbeat.
You can see why others have walked. It does make the purchase even more risky for any buyer when the seller is so untrustworthy. I would want the best due diligence people in the business working on this.
You’re right, not sure what I googled previously, maybe Premier League.
I suspect if the deal does not go through in full by Thursday then Reading are in real trouble.
Not sure Rob & Co would take the risk of four months with no signings and the current strength of squad, especially with more players rumoured to be on the way out this week. Could well find themselves in League Two at this rate or worse.
I don't think there is anything dishonest about it, Rob Couhig is very up front about being in it for the commercial opportunity. He has been lionised by a lot of people for a lot of different things during his time at Wycombe and he has not gone out of his way to contradict people when they attribute benevolent motives to his actions, he has instead used those assumptions to his advantage which is about as close as he gets to your accusation - that and not keeping up with the stadium upkeep in return for free rent.
The problem is that a lot of the Reading fans are after a philanthropist to bankroll their ambitions rather than a steady hand to deliver a financially stable and viable football club. The former are harder to find.
Couhig’s plan will be to deliver that stability and then flog it to someone with wads of cash, whether that person is a philanthropist or not probably doesn’t come into his considerations. Incidentally, if I had wads of cash and were a philanthropist, the last pockets I would be looking to line would be those of the football industry.

Well it is nine tenths of the law, after all!

You're cheeky, throwing an obvious spelling mistake into that second line. Very good.
I believe over baring teachers and headmasters are somewhat discouraged these days……
I like to think the Yak threw a couple of on purpose ringers into that post for the irony of it all.

I thought it was on purpose as a witty extra to the other lyrical anomalies you'd mentioned in your post.
If it was just slipshod clumseration, fair enough.

Has it all gone quiet at the Couhig Biscuit Dome? Sounded like it was all done last weekend but not much since.
It's been done and dusted every week for the last couple of months according to some.
Oh dear, what a shame, hope nothings gone wrong for old uncle Bullshi... I'm mean Rob
Keeping quiet until it's all sealed has never really been his style.
Apparently the take over is due to be announced between today and Monday with a medical on Tuesday for Chem Campbell.
Also apparently, we loved Chem when he was with us?
They've got to get their transfer embargo lifted first, unless they're getting Campbell on a free.

As I understand it, they also expect to sign loanees and free agents once the deal is done. But time is running short now.
I suspect if the deals not gone through by Friday then Rob will walk as the transfer window closes at 11pm on Sep 3rd until 2025.
The transfer window closes at 11pm on Friday August 30.
In any case they'd mostly be signing frees, knackers the loan market until January but hardly any reason to give up.

Sounds like Rob is still trying to use football clubs as an opportunity to make a land grab. His intentions feel so dishonest.
