I've been saying this in a slightly tongue-in-cheek way but if Kone can go from being homeless to playing at Wembley then there really is some kind of movie/TV show in this.
No pressure Richard, just win the next couple of BSM games.
Wycombe were keeping close tabs on Kone’s progress and he accepted their invitation to continue training with them. At the end of the summer, his papers came through, which would allow him to sign a pro contract
“More interest came in from the likes of West Ham and Fulham, but Wycombe had the strongest interest,” added Adedoyin (His agent)
Both, I'm being lazy and reusing an old template. I know the prize money is ultimately good for the club, however i'm still in favor boycotting. I'm not naive enough to acknowledge that the old format certainly had its problems, but it was nice for L1 & L2 to have a competition amongst ourselves.
I have to say, I was sort of waiting to be totally underwhelmed tonight, thought maybe people were expecting too much of Kone, coming from so low down non league... but ! He's been superb ! Really excited we might have a new cult hero on our hands here
Biggest positive for me was Kone's link up play and touches around the box.
Sort of expect him to be able to take a chance when presented with it, because his record clearly shows he knows how to stick it in the net.
The fact he was also sensible in possession, brought other people into play and won a few throws in tight positions was the really encouraging part. If he's going to make it he will need all those skills and more.
Still a very, very long way to go of course. He'll need to adapt to all sorts of different types of games and deal with far more physical defenders. But he's certainly shown enough to suggest there could be a player there.

Playing Scowen against kids is almost unfair.
"Like taking candy off an U21".
Yeah it’s just unfair. I love watching him play. So good at the basics. So important for us. Love him to bits.

Great stuff from Kone, although he did seem completely knackered by the 40th minute.
Not too surprising given this is the match he’s waited his whole life for and he’s never played at this pace or intensity previously.
Maybe just 15-20 mins more in the second half. Long enough for the hat-trick.
We have been very astute in our recruiting under Blooms, carrying on a fine tradition.

“He is the one and only
No one I’d rather see
He is our Richard Kone
Watch him score two or even three”
Gideon Kodua (18) - the goalscorer - has impressed throughout. Usually plays on the right but played on the left first half.
Good strike, but I think Ravizolli should do better there.
Sorry all - I had to stop watching for five minutes for work. My fault. It will be 3-1 soon.
Yeah bit of a shame, I think that was saveable as well

Derby and Oxford both losing to L2 opposition
Ali Al Hamadi with the 96th minute winner against us at Wembley.
Got a big hand to it and slapped the ground in disappointment afterwards.
Only if one of us gets moved to the north section first! (Or AAH goes to a northern team).
Look up "conflicted" in the dictionary and you see a picture of Freddie Potts right now.
Next round is not regionalised
Nice! Is this the first year doing it that way? It feels like finals are always North v South. Or just a coincidence?
We should have won this three times over - 17-6 shots, 5-3 on target, and some great chances in there.
...though I know it is in our bylaws to never have a comfortable win!

Derby out then!
Well done Chairboys!
Anyone know when the draw is?
Well said @Glenactico.
The club should have one camera trained on Kone at all times. A match subscription called KoneFans.
I'd buy it.
Brilliant. I'm more pleased than I care to admit!
