Keogh has it in acres with Lowe and Taf easy passes. Inexplicably goes back to the keeper, who even more inexplicably plays a high risk terrible ball to their man.
Fluke after it though, as was their 2nd.
One of those games you wonder why we bore on with this wing back system though.
Wide centre backs out of their comfort zone, wing backs barely getting to the end of their own half let alone further.
Awful! We have no idea or plan on how to attack. The injuries and changes clearly don't help, but that can't excuse the insipid nature of this performance.
Reading are awful. The fact that after 2 home league games where we haven't scored, and with a packed ground, we've not taken any initiative in trying the attack, is shocking.
Hopefully Blooms will sort out the tactics and get some assessment in gear, we made a very poor team look vaguely competent, even then they only scored when we gifted them two goals.
Hopefully attacking the Valley End will awaken the so far rather passive crowd and inspire us to a comeback win.

Pattenden for Grimmer second half?
With both Keogh & Taf in the side we have zero pace at the back, whihc leaves us horribly exposed when we lose the ball
Sadlier would be my first choice.
Just get Taylor on, at least he's a focal point. A loss to the bottom of the league means serious head scratching
This is a "passing game" in name only. We awkwardly pass it around the back line and then hoof it to invisible Bayo.
I don't want a grimmer second half....
Agreed. Bizarre game plan so far and we’re desperately missing Potts and Leahy
No-one knows who to mark, no-one knows how to advance the ball through midfield.
I do think Blooms will make some tweaks.
POTD. We’ve been absolutely diabolical this afternoon
Another dreadful game between 2 bang average teams - Reading are at least working hard...
Poor
Utterly ludicrous first goal.

Great strike from Phillips though.

Not to alarm anyone, but we have conceded the joint second most goals in the division (26) now.
Big test for Blooms here. How adaptable is he, how wedded to his system?

I would make the change to 4 at the back (Grimmer-Low-Taf-Boyes) bring Wheels into the midfield (RM) & bring Sadlier (LM) on into midfield for Keogh
Keogh just slows us down so much
An appalling half. Tactically and personnel. Questions will soon be asked as a lot of this is obvious stuff.
If he brings on De barr before Taylor and Sadlier my patience will have run out.
Ironically Lewis Wing is one of the things this team is missing
We have been dreadfully unlucky with injuries, but it has felt like we are playing with ten men lately.
We have no midfield. The system means we can either play ploddingly through what there is, or lump it forward
Phillips is great.
We have been unlucky with injuries, but that doesn’t explain why we don’t look like we have a plan to score a goal!
Blimey. Has Trevor got everyone’s logins?
Max's distribution has been shoddy today
At least we have picked the tempo up a bit
Intersting change with Taylor coming on for Grimmer, presume we will drop Wheels to RWB now
Two goals in the next 30 minutes or the 'Bring Ainsworth back' posts begin
