People just need to join in the chants. It is pretty simple.
Yes the acoustics are crap, Tom is an annoying distraction etc. But none of this matters if there isn't any appetite to voice support for the team in the first place.
I stand to one side of the goal on the terrace and often find I'm literally the only person that will join in a chant.
Personally I can't understand why anyone would want to go to a football game and stand in near silence. Each to their own, but for me the screaming a shouting is probably more than 50% of the enjoyment.
I'm interested in the focus group but think we should also be conducting work in areas where people don't come and ask why. It's all very well soliciting feedback from the club outlets but we need to know why people who once came don't and people who have never been haven't. And those people are unlikely to be following the club socials or website.
I'm sure local educational establishments could partner with us to get useful data. If Rob is to build the Chairboy Highway and it doesn't boost crowds have we wasted our time and money. It might be a myriad of things and just because access is a common gripe not the thing that holds back an extra 1000 people coming in the gate.
Yet a fair bit cheaper than Prem clubs and concerts, you have to be a bit careful how and when if chopping prices, it could get more people in but it could also just give you less receipts from people who were coming anyway.
I certainly think headline ticket price is one thing but most people will also look at the total cost of the day out. Sitting at home after taking little Jonny to AP to see a home defeat and seeing a big hole in your pocket after tickets, parking, food, drinks etc is harder to justify for a lot of families. I liked the early momentum of having the fan village with food trucks etc but that seems to have dipped a bit. Don't know what the future is of that with the new caterers on board. As I originally said I am looking at it from the inside, wondering what stops a non-fan turning up.
I can trouser up the £500 a year, as my expenses around it are marginal. Park for free, no food, drink, merch etc.
I can't even imagine how you go about taking say a family of 3 kids. You must be touching £100 a game, as you probably have to park close with younger kids for a tenner, have to buy them food, have to buy merch etc.
Having said that, I've seen many single younger fans moan about ticket prices, but then spend 3 times the amount swilling booze before and after.
Which means there are also 11 cheaper, but season ticket prices are a bit irrelevant when you're talking about attracting new/former supporters aren't they?
People rarely go from not going at all to buying a season ticket do they? It's the match day price of a one off game that's most relevant
To be fair, our songs aren't the most inspired, maybe we need to have a refresh on some of them so that we don't loose the will to live mid-song! I'm mainly thinking of the "Wanderers, Wanderers......." song that seem to go on forever and by the end of it, half the crowd are thinking about their life choices and doesn't tend to be very inspiring to the players
Slightly off topic for this chat but does anyone know if the club still does Birthday shoutouts during after time? If we do, do you know who needs to be contacted?
Am sure there's a crack team instantly rejecting any names beginning with Mike, any surnames beginning with Ox and any mere initials given with surnames.

I hope the complimentary maracas initiative mentioned a few weeks back is funded via this scheme. That would really shake things up on the terrace.

Ticket prices being among the most expensive in the league can't help

Yeah, a tricky balancing act I'm sure - and I know some STs are good value, but the individual match tickets seem extortionate.
According to a recent survey, there are 12 clubs in our division whose cheapest season ticket prices are more expensive than Wycombe’s.
Or hiring the barmy army trumpeter
Here's a way to incorporate Tom and any other would-be drummers, while still going full American:
Drumbots Live at T-Mobile Arena Las Vegas - YouTube
Season tickets, sure, but individual match tickets are on the pricey side
Can we get a *proper* drummer at the front of the stand like they have at Dortmund?

It's this exactly.

And that white powder, though apparently widespread, isn't free is it?
Or it could be that a significant (and ridiculous) proportion of the the local population can’t even afford to eat…

This was before the war in Ukraine, sky high fuel prices and rampant inflation.
Perhaps standing still in terms of attendances in such bleak times for many should be celebrated

I expect that 10k from Rocco Forte and that £ 100 gift (playoff tickets?) from Wycombe helped Steve get over the food poverty shock.
That semi was amazing
I think that's @LX1's Tinder profile.
Can we do requests on "Song of Praise" now? "Who ate all the pies" I think could be done well!
Yes, Yes, Yes!!!!!!

The ‘Wanderers Wanderers ‘ chant is so much better in the quicker version. The slower one is awful
Revamp: ‘We are the YOUNG Bucks boys’?

No comedy names, we know what you're like.
So my best mates, Ben Dover & Harry P. Ness can't celebrate their birthdays??
Nope, but Ray Peacock and Sandy Crevice should be fine.

And a very happy birthday to the President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe
