That was one of my silliest instant off the cuff meaningless quips ever. I just liked the sound of it. Looking forward to the Becoming Bob Dylan film which is being released tomorrow and was very much on my mind.
Typically, I’ve forgotten the name of it but I still have what was either the first or second Dylan LP 62 years ago.
So you would have a possibly fit Westergard in place of the Leahy who has set up a few goals and scored one or two?
What if Westergard is a complete bag of poo for the first few games until he is fit enough, or gets injured pulling a hamstring because he isn't fit enough to yet be included?
would rather Butcher than leahy ....leahy at LB if Harvie is injured yes , but in MF the match bypases him....all he does his hoof it and even then it's poor, his set pieces are also terrible ...with Butcher he keeps the ball moving and passes to players who CAN Impact the match ...Leahy thinks he can impact play ...but usually only does in a negative way
Butcher does what he is good at ...Leahy thinks he is better than he is and this is damaging the team , the only true asset he brings to the team is a direct FK from 20 yards or so...heaters he had a chance in the 1st half when totally free to cross the ball to one of 2 WW players but shanked it out ...he is a squad player and nothing more...someone to bring on to kill time, he very rarely impacts a game positively....not sure what some people obsession with him is....
I’m not a Leahy hater but I would rather have Butcher. I think he is the most likely of the current squad, excluding the new signings, to play the Morley role.
I actually believe Leahy to be better playing further forward maybe in the no. 10 role. It’s all personal opinion and everyone has different opinions. Who’d be a manager🤷♂️
I think Leahy is a terrific player but I don't think his athleticism is his biggest strength. So putting him in the role that Morley made his does leave us weaker. I also prefer Butcher in the middle along with Scowen and Humphreys has he does the 'simple' work allowing them to be more attacking and mobile.
Harvie is the best left back for sure, Leahy is an excellent left back. Leaves stuck in between positions and players. Which is great for us not so much for him.
My only disappointment with Leahy recently is his set pieces seems to have dropped off. He was almost JJ level of consistency on corners. Now less so.
Thats just now how business or football works. If there is no contractual obligation to do anything then nothing will be done. And thats nothing to do with our club and ownership.... thats every single club all over the UK. At best you may get an agreement to go and send a second string 11 to play a pre-season friendly... but beyond that if its not in writing and contractual zip.
All quiet on the rumours front (for players and a Head coach) with one week left of the January transfer market. Any more significant "ins", or do we think our business is done?
Ideally need cover in both FB positions. Westergaard seems to be a very versatile midfielder even if he's b2b 'by trade', so perhaps he's the Morley successor.
You never can tell with these owners but I’d be surprised if we didn’t get at least two more in (right back, midfielder) and three absentees (Hartridge, Wheeler, maybe Butcher?)
This is the thing, until we (and the ownership) see Westergaard play, we have no idea if we have a new number 6 or not. I’m assuming we are still after a Morley replacement because we urgently need a DM who can setup attacks.

Alan Nixon in today’s Sun says Steve Parrish has blocked Danny Imray’s move to Wycombe.
The Sun always shines on the righteous. Bob Dylan said that.
The sun always shines on tv. Morten Harket said that.
I think Leveson disagreed.
He got it wrong, Matthew said it also shone on the wicked.

It's got very good reviews. Enjoy.
Palace executive has blocked the sale of Imray.

Seems like you are trying to convince yourself, I'd be staggered if Leahy's goals, assists and key passes ratio wasn't far more than Butchers.

You've got to be on a windup with that last line 🤣
"....not sure what some people obsession with him is...."
Look up irony.
