Have we ever reached mid June and not heard about a signing?
There was that summer that Sanchez thought all we needed was Charlie Mapes.
And I know some people think because contracts tend to start July 1st that we can't announce before that, but no other season in memory has been like that?
And has Obita signed on? Wakeley?
Maybe the twitter guys are on holiday and we'll get a stack of info in a week or so.
Having had the "Save the Date" email a few weeks ago we have heard nothing more since. I hope Rob isn't having second thoughts about it - or maybe the access road isn't ready to deal with all the expected traffic?
Last year we were strangely slow, almost as if the manager was expecting to be elsewhere or something.
Year before, we'd signed Pendlebury by 8th June.
But we're talking "a" signing, not all signings. We always hold on late for those we can afford etc, but over the last 10 years I'm sure we've usually made a signing or 2 by now.
Interesting @Malone as I've always assumed we make our signings the week before kick off and a couple of games into the season and the Gasroom is just a shrill shriek of righteous anger until then...
Darren Witcoop reporting QPR interested in Gape, though he is not an urgent priority.
I struggle to see it from an injury risk perspective, but if there are assurances, it is not too big of a leap to think of a cash strapped GA turning to one of his prior generals who likely comes cheaper than many alternatives.
Wing, I can see going there, but I would be very surprised if Gaz signed Gape...I'm not sure it would help his standing with fans if he signs injury prone players from the League below however much of a bargain.
It is certainly going to be fascinating to see how GA navigates this window. I think you are more than likely right - taking a flier on someone who may not even play half a season is probably recipe for a pink slip unless everything goes swimmingly.

The greatest ever tweet by a footballer.
Brilliant.
Love the idea players sneak on here and laugh at clowns making nonsense up.
Here’s an actual transfer rumour…

An actual transfer rumour...i'm all shook up
Excellent @YorkshireBlue
Shut this nonsense down. Not interested. We are discussing politics and 70s pop stars at the moment
let's hope there's something in that one. And not just for the Elvis puns.
We've had two Priestleys maybe now time for a Pressley.
Saw that, brilliant response ! surely the players must look on here ? I would if I played for a team !
Bloody hell .... an actual transfer rumour !!!!
Can anyone else remember the ex Wycombe player who went by the nickname Elvis ?

I wonder whether they are holding back news until that st jamboree in a few weeks
The office must be in a right old state
Took the words right out of my mouth 🤣
Was tempted to say similar, but thought i'd stay the right side of the positivity fence today 😀
Not that MK don guy we had on loan who looked criminally unfit?

There was me literally wondering who Saint Jamboree was for a minute.
@ChasHarps Kevin Collins?
It’s the same every summer, isn’t it? We always deal later on in the window

Well done Mr Leeds blue

May simply be a perception.

I was obviously wrong.

Dundalk have admitted an interest in Horgan.
