For the 2019 League 1 Final, the last one with unrestricted numbers, Charlton were allocated 36,918 and Sunderland 37,700. The Black Cats subsequently had their allocation increased to over 40,000.
For comparison I saw Klopp quoted as saying each finalist gets only 20k tickets (25% of capacity) with 40k going to corporate/sponsors/etc for the UCL.
That 27000 number is doing the rounds for the Champions League final in Paris, doubt it is in any way related or accurate here. Even with friends and family and hangers on there's nowhere near the number of neutrals , press or dedicated tickets for this.
We won't get half based on averagees, attendance for the Southend game and the EFL wanting to maximize the gate and their cut of it.
As usual you'd be surprised after much back and forth if anyone who even vaguely regularly goes can't get in.
I'm reliably informed that we'll basically get as many as we can sell - it's sold in stages. Sunderland/Wednesday will inevitably get a bit more as I'd be amazed if we sold over 30k, but it looks like everyone who wants a ticket will be able to get one.
Great opportunity for the club to broaden the fan base. We all need to encourage friends, wife's and/or girlfriends etc. Whoever we play will sell their allocation and we need to take as many as possible to even the crowd up.
Well, John Hampden need to help out a little!
Year 9 Duke of Edinburgh practice weekend. Scheduled finish and pick-up is 1500 on the 21st.
180 boys from year 9 doing it that weekend. Scheduled pick-up is 1500 for all 180 boys. My son thinks at least 20 go regularly to Wycombe with many more likely to want to go.
Hoping they can finish by 1300 so he can go...anyone with JHGS links on here who can give them a nudge!
If we play Sheff Wed, then its likely we will play in the red and white quarters as the higher finishing side in the League season gets to choose their home kit.
Plenty of red and white shirts still on sale.

Didn't know that - I always thought there was a toss for choice of changing room and that the 'loser' got choice of kit (not sure what I was basing that on, mind you!)
nah, it's gotta be glorious gold for all its aspirational symbolism.
and for its damp beach symbolism too, as in "we're going to rain on your parade"
and for its faux Adidas shoulder stripes - symbolising us audaciously passing ourselves off as a football club when we should never dare to tread the same pitch as HEROIC GIANTS such as Sheff Wed or Sunderland.
Hadn't we just played in red at Plymouth, the Tues before the Sat at Hillsborough - so the kit was still in the wash, forcing us into the 'dirty sand' kit

All very god points, although aren't the two stripes only cause it's outside Ireland? Where supposedly Adidas forgot to trademark the three stripes before O'Neills started using them? Would look quite funny v Sunderland, who have an actual Adidas kit...

Surely we're big enough now to have more than one set of each kit!
Last time we were at Wembley I helped lay out the cards for the quarters tifo holding up thingy, would be good to see something like that again, was a bit missed as they had sectioned us up oddly I seem to remember, hopefully we take more this time

Someone at work reckons each club will get 27,000 tickets. Any truth in that?
What are they doing with the other 30-odd thousand?! That sounds like BS to me.
Go to corporate, FA etc. He might be getting confused with cup finals.
That would be extreme even for a major cup final, would it not?!
No, I'm almost certain the competing clubs only get half the capacity of Wembley between them for the FA Cup Final. It's been a bone of contention for decades.

Bit risky inviting your wife AND girlfriend to the match, but if it helps broaden the fan base…

If SW and Sunderland can both wear white stripes in the same match (semi 1st leg) then I can’t see blue/white stripes against blue quarters shoukd be a cause for change

Hope they can release the important info soon, Torch, Box Park or Green Man.
Falcon then stagger to the train
As much as I admire you're attempts to whip up support in the town, and to start on the beers early I'm far nearer Wembley than AP
The Falcon refused me and my Dad entry on the day of the Southend play off final because we were wearing colours.
I have never stepped inside the place again
I haven't been in the Falcon since before the pandemic, I'm just anticipating the financial hit from when I foolishly buy food at Wembley...
Tbf in 2015 I bought one of those giant flags
Is the "throw off your mental chains" flag going to be at Wembley?

But wouldn't we play in the damp beach kit as we did at Hillsborough?
Because it's hideous ...
We need to play in the Quarters
That was a complete joke, they weren't the only pub doing that either

How difficult would it be to coordinate a giant version of this?
