I think that's a touch harsh. They played the transfer window badly, lost their best defender and Vardy seems to have gone off a cliff. But... he can't have long left to turn this around.
It was also a superb game, Arsenal were imperious and the skill level at times was breathtaking. Being a N London derby there was also no shortage of full blooded challenges either.
In his interview with BBC local radio yesterday, Joey Barton suggested that the BR ballboy gave the ball back to the opposing player too quickly - the result being a quickly taken corner resulting in the only goal of the game.
That poor kid probably wishes he supported City instead.
Mind you it might be the final straw for most Watford fans, they have not taken it well, and are demanding the owners sell up and leave. Ive not seen one agreeing with the decision
I don't get Watford's business plan, how can any club function when they keep changing managers after 3 months......
The amount of money that they need to pay off these managers and their comtract and the coaches that are also moved on. If they invested that money into the playing squad, they might have avoided relegation last season!
I bet there is quite a bit of egg on Rob's face from his interesting departure from Forest Green Rovers in the summer
FFS Bilic is tWatford's 9th permanent manager since 2018 - yep 9 managers in 4 years the compensation alone must be crippling them financially far less the constant chopping & changing of playing styles & personnel
Shame they didn't come in for Ainsworth. We could have trousered the compensation, stuck Dobbo and Blooms in temporary charge and Gareth would have been back before anyone noticed he was gone.

Can't remember but he did score a lot of goals straight away, of course in a team that was playing well
I don't watch much football other than Wycombe, but I get the feeling Haaland is exactly the kind of player I love.
Just checked and it was Sep 2020. But yeah, and he'd barely - if ever - even been used as a centre-forward by Wolves.
Speaking of Wolves, they're now down to 10 men v Haaland. Oh no.
Lincoln are demolishing Bristol Rovers, whats going on there?
Leicester delivering a masterclass in how not to defend
The Rodgers tactical master illusion rapidly coming undone.... mind you fair play he's bagged a few mil in the process.

Wasn't that long ago he was being talked up for a bigger job.
That's the fickle nature of football folks!
6-2 against "defensive" Conte has to be a sacking job doesn't it?
Yeah, that'll be him done.
15 year old on the bench today for Arsenal v Brentford
Rhian Brewster - still playing for England U21s. Scored 3 in 50 odd games for Sheffield United. Am I missing something?
Hardly a figure that it’s easy to warm to, but a decent profile of Steve Evans:

Over 47000 at the WSL Arsenal v Spurs game today.

One to file with the question of how do Liverpool keep rinsing such huge fees out of Bournemouth for their youngsters>
Wow, does not look any sort of healthy in that photo does he!

Watford have sacked Rob Edwards after eleven games because of course they have.
Absolutely ridiculous !

Dev squad in action right now - good to see.

If he'd stayed at FGR there'd be no chance of egg on his face, or anywhere else.
Slavan Bilic appointed.
Nice guy as I recall from West Ham days.
Wonder if he will last the season.

Underrated post this.
They've been pretty poor, but - yet again - their approach to appointing managers smacks of randomness. Absolute meme of a club.

There's a big bundle of cash in his bank account now! Bilic will get his windfall before the end of the year.
