Raith Rovers v Partick Thistle in the Scottish Championship, 2nd v 3rd.
Carrick Rangers v Crusaders in the NI Premiership, 9th v 4th.
Both at 19:45 on BBC Scotland/NI, iPlayer, Sport online.
Friday night Scottish football usually delivers and tonight was no exception. Thistle came back from two down, to take the lead, but finally lose 4-3. Great entertainment, sad to see my adopted team lose.
Surely he's not suggesting quota filling. What an outrageous accusation!!
I used to know people who thought there were too many black pundits at one point. That was also box ticking exercise apparently. For the record, except for Roy Keane and possibly Gary Neville, I could not care less who is yanking about the footy.

Representation and alternative views are important. There are plenty of dull and incompetent male commentators and contributors. People don't like change and some unpleasant characters get far too much coverage through shock factor.
To think that anyone's access to perform a job they are passionate about is harmed by the likes of Barton, who is only saying this to bang the drum for his own media career is disgusting.

The less thought about who is so into their footy they're "yanking" over it, the better!!
Chapeau to Villa for their win today, scored early & then pretty much shut up shop looking to hit Arsenal on the break after that; very effective & nullified Arsenal's attacking threat.
At least our other team had a good win today, in the Third Round of the Scottish Amateur Cup. They are away to Insch in the next round on 6 Jan. Mon the Wishy!

3 of our 5 matches will have been against kids by the end of it!
For which side?

At this point I am wondering if Rooney is just leveraging his name to get the job, do terribly and get the payoff so he can put his feet up.

Women commentators on Match of the Day do seem to be an acquired taste.
No, I’m not quite sure what that means either!

Marvelous press conference by Emma Hayes in response to Joey Bollocks X comments
If I was running VAR with the intention of demonstrating it’s stupidity, I’m not sure what I’d be doing differently.
I would be intrigued to know his views about the first Trans commentator...
'It's a woman who played men's football??? **** off!'
I need someone in the Nottingham Forest mafia to explain those extraordinary away shirts to me.
United 3-0 at home to Bournemouth 😅
The River Trent.
Villa are very fun to watch
agreed
Burton Albion have sacked Dino Maamria this evening.
I'll tell you what, Jarred Gillett is a bloody good ref.
15 home league wins in a row for Villa

Great stat I saw: Arsenal have only lost two PL games 1-0 to earlier goals (one of which was also vs Villa)
How about this one: Emery is a great manager only if you have Villa in your name. Aston Villa, Sevilla, Villareal.
To quote Darth Vader: impressive!
I like it - although he did also do quite well at PSG 😉
Big Dunc got sent off today and went and watched the rest of the game in with the Inverness fans (they won 4-1)

Give them an Insch and they'll take a yard
Presumably that's a different FC Romania to the one based in London
