For some reason your comment produced a funny mental picture of a fan turning up to a Premier League match with a T-Shirt saying 'I'm just here for the VAR'.
I think the ITV highlights show is an improvement by not being studio-based. The endless drivel spoken by ex-players who didn’t want to upset anyone was mind-numbingly dull. The reduction from 2 hours to 90 minutes is better too. It must be quite challenging to collate all that footage from only a few hours earlier into a watchable programme. I like Hugh Woozencroft as a presenter (his interview with the new Birmingham City owner & Tom Brady certainly challenged them). Nevertheless, the best host will always be Colin Murray.
I find it amazing how badly the Spanish FA, their president & woman's senior coach have misread the room.
The backlash from women's national associations/teams, women's club sides, individual players, men's teams in Spain, the UN as well as loads of ordinary women & men around the world is truly amazing & hopefully leads to the necessary changes not only in Spain but across football.
Also does anyone else think it's a little odd that there were 2 men on the final short list for FIFA Women's coach of the year, surely this should be an award for the best female coach, rather than the best coach of a women's team, especially if we genuinely want to encourage women in the game.
Indeed @Erroll_Sims . He could have said 'I am so sorry, I was swept up in the moment, such a momentous occasion, it was unacceptable and I fully apologise if I upset anyone.' and we would not be talking about it weeks later. The coach had to back him as Rubiales had backed him when half the squad dropped out before the World Cup.
Some of the defence is as bad if not worse than the issue. You picked me up so I'm allowed to snog you, you laughed about it so it's ok, we won so he's a wonderful thoughtful person, people didn't like him so any criticism is biased, etc, etc.
If I read all the signs wrongly, got carried away and snogged someone at work who it turned out wasn't happy with it I'd expect a warning, if I did it on TV in the middle of our biggest event of the year, or of our history, and it became a small percentage of the scandal it has I'd probably be too embarrassed to walk back in the building to pick up my stuff and my P45.

I think Sheffield United will be alright based on what I've seen so far. Luton will finish bottom, then Burnley and Everton imo.
I thought Everton were okay from the highlights. I think Sean is safe this term. (My predictions are often wrong...)
Sorry for upsetting Man U fans and VAR supporters with my posts above. My latest score prediction is now available for downthumbing if you missed it.

0 points from 3 is poor but reasonably easily explained, If that becomes 8 it might need a lot more explaining.
Does anyone watch the EFL highlights show on ITV? It's so bad.
League 2 seemed to have the crowd noise overlaid three seconds earlier

A truly fantastic tale from Mark Crossley, about Clough. I could listen to these stories all day long.

’Bloomsball’
Presume Barton ball involves stabbing it or trying to burst it with a cigarette.
I love how gloriously shit the 'revamped' Kenilworth Road still looks https://twitter.com/LutonTown/status/1696572232179347797?t=facNoVGi6hqoJ-rFan_lUw&s=19
Colin Murray is one of my all time heroes. Only saw him on relatively few occasions on Quest but I gather he always spoke well of Wycombe.
Brilliant anchor man on Countdown.
Crewe lose to Port Vale 2-0 penalties after missing all 4 of theirs. Some doing.
Chelsea have decided they can no longer subsidise their away supporters coach - but £1bn on transfers is fine 🤷 Horrible little club.

Oh, people would still be talking about it years later, never mind weeks. Everything is OUTRAGEOUS nowadays.
But he is currently letting his own mother starve herself. He's a vile human being.
Some things are outrageous.

Totally agree, though imagine the scenes when Chelsea become a feeder club for Al-Insert Club Name...
Funny, isn't it, how Saudi haven't come in for Newcastle's top players 🤔🤔🤔
Chelsaudi. I read somewhere that there's already Saudi money in the club. Who cares? It's only money.
Harrogate beaten 8-0 at home by Blackburn. Shot count 2-27.
An but what was the xG?
they left the gate wide open!
Brighton are about to sign Ansu Fati. Incredible - I'm old enough to remember them signing Darren Currie!
The days of super rich premier clubs signing players from the big Spanish teams being a surprise have long passed haven't they?
