That man is seriously impressive. 30 seconds of that and you just think maybe they'll be there 15 years not the three months I'd probably have given them before. I always thought that given a few more quid and influence into the whole of the right club, academy and all his input could be amazing. Only a short burst but kind of puts to bed any idea he didn't really want to go or that they aren't respected by the players.
Lincoln Red Imps of Gibraltar currently 1-0 up against Qarabag of Azerbaijan at half-time in their Champions League qualifier. Qarabag of course no stranger to group stage football in Europe so this could be a big surprise.
Good luck to Southend fans today, suggestions that the chairman might have already chewed through all sources of additional finance ahead of today's (11th?) Winding up petition. Possible they apply for time to sell / restructure but won't satisfy conference rules to play this season or beyond at that level.
Yes...Southend fan at work resigned to losing his ST money and the League kicking them out. Players have finally been paid but cannot train as they have no medical staff.
BBC reporting the court has agreed to delay the order another 42 days while they try and sell, no idea if they're going to meet requirements for be able for this season to start, at the last count the water had been turned off at training ground as they hadn't paid the bill and the players wouldn't train as there were no usable medical facilities.
They think even if they do sell, it won't be in time to start the season, or have all the right staff in place so the League may still kick them out...
It's okay - Derby fans will come in and save them, as they assured us all the most important thing is the "football family". I believe Gary Neville brought attention to this family when Derby were in trouble too. We can all rest easy knowing that there is no way this could have been forgotten in the intervening period.

Barnsley have canceled Tuesday‘a friendly at Guisley because they ‘can’t raise a team.’
Make of that what you will.
They have off loaded a fair few players, are they another team in money trouble ?
They had a game stopped at half time yesterday due to lightening and they did play a friendly last weekend at Worksop.
The game yesterday involved 24 Barnsley players so they should have no problem raising a team, unless of course the main team are elsewhere.
The U21s also won every match in 90 minutes. Can't remember a tournament where that has happened in my lifetime....statos?
(Edit - found one already. USA Women at 2019 World Cup. Unlikely in men's game I think).
In other news, QPR lost 3-0 to Slavia Prague yesterday, fielding a team of mainly development players.
Fans on the QPR forum already calling for GA to go.
I’ve read and re-read that several times but it still puzzles me. Should it read “… in midfield and attack….” ?
He could only have been about 18 when he played against us for Accrington Stanley. Same as Joe Hart for Shrewsbury all those years ago.
Something very funny about mega-rich Chelsea unveiling their new shirt without a sponsor
Did someone's five year old try to colour in the badge?
Hopefully they will be sponsored by Monopoly, with the tagline 'Whoever buys the most stuff wins'.
Didn't Kasper Schmeichel play against us for Notts County as well...or am I dreaming that?
He definitely played for them, so probably. I think he was also in goal for Darlington when Chris Brass scored THAT own goal.
What is this?
A lookalike version of Chilwell in his younger brother's t shirt, surrounded by posters of random "gangster" rappers?!
Isn't the top one Mbappe? 😂
QPR interview with Dobbo. Posting for no other reason than I miss this lovely man.

Interesting they got offered double elsewhere at one point though (Sunderland, if I remember rightly from Close Quarters?)

Really good idea. GA will have them running through brick walls in no time!

Oh dear. 93rd minute winner for Qarabag

Such a shame, Southend is one of the great away days.

Sarfend local paper journo seems to think there's a new ownership bid on the table:

Both Reading and Wigan have winding up hearings coming in July and August it seems!
Madness.
I laughed far harder at this than I should have
Especially as the scarf looks like it says something else now.
Hadn't even clocked that. How apt.
