On the Man City fiasco I really hope the PL/EFL/FA do to them what the SFA did to Glasgow Rangers & drop them close to the foot of the pyramid, say National League North.
As happened to the Gers, they would lose all their 1st, Reserve & most of their U23 players as well as their manager & his team; it would take them a minimum of 5 seasons to get back to the promised land, assuming Mansour doesnt try to offload them.
Of course it wont happen due to the army of lawyers & boat loads of cash Mansour will throw at the problem.
I see A22 are still trying to beat the ESL drum with the catchy slogan that it will save European football...
There is an element of truth in that currently the Premier League/Sky is effectively subsidising the rest of the European football landscape with inflated transfer fees, but that is down to a combination of the success of Sky in flogging overpriced packages to the masses, the PL & its members promoting themselves around the world/to deep pocketed owners & the generally turgid nature & predictability of many of the European leagues. I mean we all know PSG will win in France, Bayern in Germany, it will most likely be Real or Barca that win in Spain etc. seriously where is the jeapardy...
Can't think of the right thread for this - but congratulations to Wycombe fan Pat from Haddenham who won some Valentine's flowers on Radio X this morning so that he can watching the Accrington game guilt free on Tuesday night! Is Pat on the Gasroom??
In the FA Trophy, Bracknell Town lost 3-1 at home to Altrincham, in front of 518. Seven of the eight ties were away wins.
In the FA Vase, Newport Pagnell Town beat Jersey Bulls 1-0 at home, 990 the attendance.
In other Vase ties, Tring Athletic lost 2-1 to Bury AFC, in front of a very healthy 840, and Ascot United won 1-0 at Bridgwater United. Two ties were home wins, six away.
Can’t blame him for accepting the role but even at the time, you had to feel that staying at Luton was probably the correct decision. Taking an unfancied team to the Championship play-offs would have been a remarkable achievement.

Beat me to it, @Erroll_Sims!

Anyone watching Sheffield U v Wrexham ?
I thought the Wrexham player made a hell of a meal of the first penalty. Second one incontestable. Shame it was saved.
Just tuned in before the second penalty. It will be interesting to see who comes out on top - Sheffield United have been turning the screws a little.
I’d feel sorry for the Luton fans if they weren’t Luton fans.
Hard not to feel sorry for anyone who lives in Luton
Do any of our Luton correspondents have information on whether Nathan Jones still lives in / near the place?
If he's living in Southampton he won't be for much longer.
I really cannot find it in my heart to feel sorry for Nathan Jones if he has to move back to Luton eventually.
Based on his length of service at Stoke he probably won't have bought somewhere on the south coast, probably got a hotel that charges by the hour
Campervan probably more suitable.
Probably kips in the vestry of the local church.
Watching his appearance on Match of the Day at the weekend I assumed park bench.
They'd probably let him kip in the stands at kenilworth road but the facilities on the park bench will be better.
He’d certainly have more leg room 😂

The Reverend's Saints 2-1 down at home to Wolves having led - with an extra man for over an hour...
Two questions: 1) what happened at Peterborough?
2) LOL

The Rev, or Europe’s best manager as he will now be known, sacked at Southampton. No surprises after last weekend

@Gary he already achieved that last year...
I didn’t realise, I thought they just missed out. Chance to go one further this season though.
City fans booing the Premier League anthem. Pure tribalism.
