This white with sash(es) option seems to have traction. Perhaps the club could put it to the vote. I like it myself but black with some red sounds good too. Light and dark blue quarters at home de rigeur of course.
Also when we play away to a team that happens to just have dark shorts (I.e. at Swansea on Saturday) instead of wearing an all yellow kit we are wearing our home shirts with white shorts. That also looks cool and a hark back To our classic kits from the 30s 40s and 50s
I like plain red and also plain white as alternatives. But I do get that having a quartered change kit is a good idea for us too. White with a sash just makes me think of Oxford I’m afraid!
I’ve stayed clear of monster links @EwanHoosaami since someone (?@drcongo) told us they were designed to milk even more personal information about us. Or have I got that wrong?
I’m sure you’ll be watching the Derry City programme. We’ll be downloading it later.
I started on Woodbine and Turf before graduating to Senior Service and, at a much later stage, such exotic brands as Sobranie Black Russian. There was also a very expensive oval section cigarette, the name of which escapes me. I also occasionally splashed out (!) on small, dark, square section cigars in, I think, a yellow box. Villigers. Now £16.99 for 5.
Craven ‘A’. The ladies seemed to go for them. Phased out in 1958 when Rothmans took over Carreras. Love the reference to them being specially made to prevent sore throats. Reminded me of the time (early ‘sixties) when a work colleague told me he always found smoking helped when he had a headache. Being, as I now know, slightly (?) autistic, I lit up one day when I had the start of a migraine headache. Didn’t help in the slightest. In fact, made it worse. I realised much later that Hugh was calling work problems ‘headaches’.
In the ‘seventies, together with one or two other reprobates, I used to smoke a brand of cigar that was very popular and relatively inexpensive considering it was a good size. You could buy them individually for, I’m guessing, well under a pound. For the life of me, I can’t recall the name.

Southampton's white kit with red sash is a classy thing. The more a shirt looks like a 70s fag packet, the more I tend to like it.

The sash is all a bit Crystal Palace for me.
The sash is all about Vince Hilaire for me, and therefore total quality.
Although not if it’s orange.
Peru in the 74 or 78 World Cup. Dream stuff.

How’s this for next season?
Gosh that takes me back 47 years to my first ciggie...
@bookertease Perfect. Though might get confusing with the whole team wearing number 6.
Why on earth did you wait until you were 30 for your fairst ciggie @Erroll_Sims ? ?
At least our No 6 is king size.
Very droll @micra
Lovely word @Erroll_Sims and one that I hear a lot. That and ‘wacky’ of course. No comebacks re baccy, please.
John Player Number 6 ....takes me back...made in Nottingham (well we always thought so). Not a luxury brand
@Forest_Blue leave school Players factory, Boots, Raleigh factory, or dahn pit!
Or the record shop!

Embassy extra mild has my vote @arnos_grove.
Any Google link is going to be milking you I'm afraid @micra, but yeah, even more so with all the extra stuff.
I was always a woodbines man myself cough cough
That would make a quality change kit shirt.
Selectadisc? Or the famous 'Never Mind the Bollocks' Virgin branch?

I finally gave it all up in the ‘eighties.
What has all that got to do with football kit?
Was the 80's when you switched to grass @micra!
I’ve always been a pretentious twat. But at least the colours were right

Quality snout them @bookertease
