Alarmed me there for a moment as Johnny King was a famous Tranmere manager of the past (stand at Prenton Park named after him) who died a few years ago!
Hopefully people don’t turn up expecting us to steamroller Tranmere given their recent form. We should win and I fancy us to do so comfortably if we can get an early goal, but the first priority is to get the win by whatever means necessary!
Although our upcoming fixtures are against decent sides many of them are in patchy form at the moment. Coventry away will be tough but there is an opportunity to put together a little run of results nonetheless, starting by making it two on the bounce today.
I’m hoping we start with the line up we switched to last week. Wheeler in attacking midfield with Fred and Smyth on the wings.
Blooms/Ofoborh in for Thompson and Parker/Samuel in for Bayo - with the big man to come off the bench if need be - but otherwise I'd keep it the same. I think it's quite telling that Bayo has played a part in every game bar Pompey (when he was suspended) and MK (when he was, er, otherwise engaged) away - we've not been out of sight in a game he hasn't started, so it would be nice to change that today. COYB!
A scruffy win but an important one. We always had more quality in our ranks, and all three goals features quality of different kinds - not least Fred's work and cross for Bayo. Need to put in a more complete performance at Donny but not too bad overall.

That’s just what I wanted them to think. I’m actually alive and well.

Looking forward to the game. 3 points no matter how we get them will do me.
Unchanged!
4-3-3 (presumably): Allsop; McCarthy, Stewart, Charles, JJ; Gape, Wheeler, Thompson; Smyth, Bayo, Fred
Gareth not listening to the gasroom it seems. Bayo and Thompson start.
Thar be goals in them hills. (I hope).
Dangerous front 3 today, like Wheeler in the deeper role. Fingers crossed for a good performance!
Yeah, great lineup!
COYB!
Wind is making for a pretty poor spectacle so far
awful spectacle so far....up and under
YEEEESSS Steweart! 1-0.
The most deflated I've been for a while. Treating 3rd from bottom like they're in the championship.
Midfield look like they've never moved a ball with their feet in their life. Fred the only salve to this.
Even with the goal, we cant be happy with that 1st half
Third annd winning? I've never felt so low. Why isnt everyone else booing this awful team like I am?
How cook is still on the pitch I'm not sure.
@Wendoverman Actually we’re second as things stand. BOOOOOOOOOO
Can things get any worse?
Yes Bayo, 2-1.
What. A. Goal. Fred is on fire, Bayo's header was right on the money! COYB!
Thank god he doesn’t.

Imagine how deflated @prufrock_91 must be now!
Thompson looked back to his usual, brilliant pain in the arse self.
Bayo is only ever one game off the drone army starting up
Just keep winning.
