Anything but blue @bluntphil.
Another sterling effort, no doubt, which I look forward to tuning in to later. Much appreciated.
And a belated Happy New Year to you.
It's either you or Gaz's music career that's done for us
Or whoever it was that drew attention to me predicting a 3-0 loss every week before the Oxford game. It was working perfectly well until then and then the spell was broken and we've been in terrible form since.
@eric_plant Is it true that you scuppered RTB's chances at the podcast awards by pointing out to the judges that the commentary at the start of each episode is of the lesser of Wavy Davy's two goals vs Preston in '94?

Despite the recent games being grim that was one of the best episodes so far @bluntphil , JDT does a grand job on matchdays, and seemingly with the old boys. I had no idea he was behind one of the best telly programs of my youth.

Wycombe's form has been abysmal since these stopped dropping on a weekly basis
Coincidence?
@eric_plant Haha.
“The Christmas period was always going to be tough for little RTB - a tiny squad with no resources. We go again next week...”

My conscience simply couldn't allow it to go unchallenged
Sorry Eric.

John D Taylor I assume?
You know what you're going to get with RTB. Catchpole only interviews his mates.
Yes but you would want to listen to it every week.
You couldn't pay me.
I thought that was a witty comment from @Manboobs. I may be missing a subtle element in your response @HCblue.
Thanks Phil for a great podcast...and getting better all the time
Just more tired satire on the same range of tired cliched criticisms.
Ah well, it’s just that your original post seemed uncharacteristically antipathetic rather than satirical.
Just pathetic.
I wouldn’t put it quite like that!
To borrow eric_plant’s catch phrase ‘awful thread, this’.
@bluntphil that chat with Guppy was everything I wanted and more! Great interview.
What @chapmanio said. Lovely to hear the great man.
Ditto. Top stuff.
Great episode Phil, thanks.
For some reason I always expect Gupps to have a high voice, but the reality couldn’t be much different.
He wasn’t a big talker on the pitch iirc.
Sounds like a proper geezer. Always seemed a quiet sort of bloke in the Vere after games but plenty to say now and some very interesting stuff too.
a brilliant episode - thanks, Phil. These interviews with the squad of the 80s/90s are just tremendous.
