Rogerthe Bandito. Surely the RCR holding should be investigated by the Police/HMRC. Just so corrupt its scary. So many clubs (including WW) are just so desperate for investment that any old chancer is often allowed in. The FA & EFL dont seem to care, always it will take a big club to crash before they take action, to you and me Bury are a big club. To the Shakers fans they are the biggest club. I really feel for them.
Unfortunately for Bury, Dale sails very close to the edge of what is allowed, Immoral definitely, but not illegal.
As Chas Harps would call it the unacceptable face of capitalism, when one or two people are allowed get very wealthy, while thousands are caused Pain, anger & sadness because or their greed.
For once I agree.

To be fair, if you haven't inherited millions from daddy or married a rich wife or made your money with dodgy dealings on the financial/stock market or got on the EU MEP gravy train by the time you're 25, you're a loser who needs to buck up your ideas.
Just caught the end of an interview with the local MP on 5live which suggests a buy out is imminent and Bury might play on the 31st. Fingers crossed for all their fans.
If it is to be the end of Bury, things could become very volatile and aggressive towards Mr Dale. And I dont think many people will have much sympathy for this charlatan.
Just heard an interview on 5live. Seemed to be optimistic they may yet get a little more time to sort a buyer. Said he had one who might come through. He did slip into blaming the EFL later on, at which point I stopped listening.

I did think similar. It's one thing running standard businesses into the ground, but ones that have thousands of die hard fans?
If he is local to the area, he may want to keep an exceptionally low profile, or disappear totally.
Slight correction: The BBC is reporting that Dale says the club has been sold. Subtle but important difference.
With Dale being the one that’s saying it, and going on his track record, I have no faith he is telling the whole truth and playing with a completely straight bat.

Ans like the English batsman maybe leaving it to the last innings but is facing a massive uphill battle to save everything.
Unlike the English batsman, Dale has engineered a fall guy to blame if they don’t get an extension. “I had an agreed sale, the EFL haven’t allowed an extension so it’s their fault the clubs folded, not mine”.

So it sounds like the EFL have given the green light for Bury to be bought by someone who's not allowed to buy an EFL club? http://d3d4football.com/former-port-vale-chairman-ready-to-save-bury/
Meanwhile former Bury director Joy Hart - daughter of club legend Les Hart - has chained herself to the front of the stadium in protest.

@DevC would be taking option 2. After all, what on earth could they have done differently?!
At least no-one can build on Gigg Lane.

That is awesome ?

This is really crap, but I can't say I'm surprised.
The latest from the EFL on Bury. I think it's over. https://www.efl.com/news/2019/august/statement-bury-fc/

Claims on Twitter that Bury have been saved. I hope the rumours are true!
@Shev Isn't the guy claiming that a Sun journo who also claimed Newcastle had been sold?
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49455433
BBC reporting Bury sold. At least we will be playing them now in December.
I'm pretty clueless when it comes to journalists, sorry @th100. It certainly sounds like it is by no means a done deal.
Great if true but too early to say yet @mooneyman.

Rather like the England batsmen!
Quite.

Their prospective buyers have pulled out. That's surely the end. https://www.efl.com/news/2019/august/efl-statement-bury-fc3/
Devastating for Bury. People were there this morning buying tickets for Saturday.
