it's weird, I have almost no recollection of Heaton playing in goal for us, although a) I'd have been at most of the games, and b) I'm sure he was very good
That lad we had from Preston is the one that always sticks in my mind as the best loanee keeper we had, although I can't remember his name. Iain something?
I also remember Andy Lonergan very fondly, I can't believe he only played twice for us! I was boring colleagues with our long history of top quality loan goalkeepers only yesterday...
Cameron Dawson played one game and looked good. S Wed didn't extend the deal and Blackman came in instead.
we had a lad who came in and played one game at Exeter if I recall a couple of years back and then went back. Cant remember the circumstances (Lynch injury?), who came in instead or the lads name. Would be interesting (mildly) to see if he eventually made the grade.
That’s Elliott Parrish, who Wikipedia tells me has been at a number of clubs since his Wycombe loan (including Col U) and is now first choice at Dundee. He conceded four and was injured in their latest game which was against Rangers. He came to Wycombe around the time Bull left suddenly.

He actually came to cover a Nikki Bull injury. Waddock then got sacked after Parish's 2 games (he saved a penalty v Wimbledon) and Ainsworth sent him back and got Jordan Archer in. Once Bull was fit again Archer returned to Tottenham but then came back again once Bull suddenly left a couple of months later.
As noted above, for example, Plymouth's turnaround in form this season coincided with when they brought in a loan GK far better than their own keepers who had got injured.
Having said that, would it be fair to say that brown is a very good keeper at this level.
I wonder if we tried to do exactly that this season, then couldn't find a good enough one, hence all that strange stuff with Brown seemingly being set to join Cheltenham, then us pulling the plug
I think Brown may not be as good as some who have stood between the posts for us...but he is part of a shambolic, injury depleted defence who have, at the very least, got us into the play-offs. (Shipping a lot of goals has not all been down to him!)

Heaton, Mawson and Taylor are the three most impressive loanees I’ve seen playing for Wycombe. Although I didn’t see a great deal of Eze.
Our Frank's Peter Garland klaxon will be going off somewhere at this very moment
Hopefully Allsop has a stinker of a game and leaves us with no desire to sign him up.
@eric_plant Andy Lonergan?
that's the one! He was superb
I think we had one from Everton who was Iain something. Also very good
Just had a look - he only played twice for us. I remember it being more.
Funny how the passage of time clouds the mind
I knew he'd been good

Frankie Fielding was a good keeper for us as I recall.
Iain Turner?
yes! Thanks everyone

Indeed it was. Thank you

Whatever happened to Ricardo Battista? I remember him being an "entertaining" goalkeeper and thought he would progress further but obviously not.
I'd forgotten Jordan Archer.
There have been a lot of loan GKs in recent years many of whom now playing at a high level. Anyone got the time to do a full list?
@mooneyman , he's played a mere 33 league games in 11 years since playing for us.
Including a 2 year drugs ban.
What a colossal waste!
A big part of that league cup semi final run
Didn't know about the drug ban. Perhaps that explains his sometimes erratic keeping when he was here?
I don't think we should ever sign any goalkeepers. Just get the very best available on loan at the start of each season
That Eric may not be a bad idea.
There do seem to be more hits than misses
I've thought it for a while
to be honest me too.

I don't think he is, no
Which you already knew, which is why you asked
I didn't already know, which is why I asked. Now I do. You seem to be in a minority on this point. (I have no defined view for obvious reasons)

If Lincoln win all their remaining games (including tonight) could they not (arithmetically) supplant us in third place?
