  • FT Firsts 2-4 Ascot United (HT 2-2).

The visitors scored first, goals from Ashleigh Harte and Kine Andersen gave the Chairgirls the lead, but Ascot equalised before half-time. Goals on 68' and 70' secured the win for the table toppers.

Two other results today. Oxford City beat the Flyers 5-1 at home. Badshot Lea had a very good 3-2 win at Eastleigh.

    Latest table.

  • The U18s result on Saturday has finally been posted and the Chairgirls lost 3-1 at Nottingham Forest.

  • Tomorrow the U18s are home to mid-table Bournville, who beat the Chairgirls 2-1 three weeks ago. Kick-off 10:30 at the 1878 Stadium, Burnham SL1 8JG.

On Sunday the Firsts are away to bottom club Badshot Lea, who picked up their second win of the season at Eastleigh last week. They only lost 1-0 to the Chairgirls in October. Kick-off 2pm at Operatix Community Ground, Westfield Lane, Wrecclesham GU10 4PF.

    The U23s have no game.

  • FT U18s 2-1 Bournville.

  • The game at Badshot Lea today has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

  • Interviews with two players who have just joined the Firsts. Both are looking for promotion next season.

Tomorrow the U18s travel to joint table toppers Derby County, who won 11-0 at Burnham in November. Venue and kick-off not published.

On Sunday, the U23s host leaders Long Crendon, who have won 13 and drawn one of their last 14 league games. Crendon lost 2-1 in the reverse fixture in October, and they have former Chairgirls in their ranks - keeper Amy Whale, midfielder Sarah Harrison and striker Tara Woodward, who has eight goals this season. You may remember Tara as top scorer for the Chairgirls, before taking time out from football a few years ago.

    The Firsts have no fixture.

  • FT Derby County 2-0 U18s.

That looks like a good performance.

  • FT U23s 1-2 Long Crendon.

Congratulations to Crendon who are champions.

  • Elena Mitchell scored for the U23s against Long Crendon. I don't know what the scoring sequence was, but Crendon made their keeper, Amy Whale, Player of the Match for several important saves.

There were, in fact five ex-Chairgirls in the Long Crendon line-up. Tara Woodward, Sarah Harrison, Amy Whale, Sam Jackson and Megan Brockwell. Emma Brockwell may have been another one.

  • The U18s have no game tomorrow.

On Sunday, the Firsts travel to Warminster Town who are in good form, with 13 points from their last five matches. The two teams drew 2-2 at Burnham in September. Kick-off 2pm at Weymouth Street, Warminster BA12 9NS.

Also on Sunday, the U23s host Eversley & California, who are second from bottom, with one win from just 11 games played. They do have six points, after their opening day 3-1 defeat to Kidlington resulted in the three points being awarded to Eversley. The Chairgirls won the reverse fixture 5-0. Kick-off 2pm at the 1878 Stadium, Burnham SL1 8JG.

  • The Firsts' match at Warminster today has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

Ah, the U23s' game at home to Eversley today has also been postponed. That is likely to be because Eversley are unable to raise a team. They had five games awarded to opponents in the first half of the season, but have been fulfilling fixtures so far this year.

  • I sincerely hope our Women's team get to train at Bearwood when all goes through. Sounds like there will be plenty of space!

  • Train and presumably play, although it is 24 miles from Adams Park, which would introduce a bigger disconnect from the town than the 11 miles to Burnham. I don't know how long the Burnham agreement runs for, I think the Trust gave the cost as £10,000. Too soon to talk about this, so much is unknown.

  • Reading won the Berks & Bucks Women's Senior Cup today, beating MK 3-1 on penalties. 1-1 after 90 minutes, MK took the lead on 67', Reading equalised on 84'. The match was played at Beaconsfield Town, attendance 220.

  • Yes matchdays seems a whole different level to just training as it involves fan participation

  • After no matches last week, all three teams are playing this weekend.

The U18s travel to bottom club Watford tomorrow, for their penultimate league game. It was a 3-0 win for Chairgirls in the reverse fixture in November. Venue and time not published.

On Sunday the Firsts are away to Woodley United, who fell to a surprise 5-1 defeat at Winchester last week. In January it finished 1-1 at Burnham. Kick-off 2pm at Bulmershe Pavilion, Woodlands Avenue, Woodley, Reading RG5 3HE.

Also on Sunday, the U23s host Milton United, who beat leaders Long Crendon 2-0 last weekend, and sit three points behind the Chairgirls, with three games in hand. Kick-off 2pm at the 1878 Stadium, Burnham SL1 8JG.

A interview with the latest recruit to the club, Ellie Hickey, who was captain at Watford, and then two years at Harris-Stowe State University, Missouri, and six months at Middle Georgia University.

  • FT Watford 1-2 U18s.

The U18s' last league game, at home to Hayes and Yeading, is not until 27 April.

  • FT Woodley United 0-0 Firsts

    FT U23s 6-1 Milton United

  • edited March 24

Scorers for the U23s today we're Shannon Read (3), Megan Giles, Amaya Navarro and Daisy Thompson. Five of the goals came in the second half, the Milton goal time is unknown.

That might be the last match for the U23s this season in Division One North, if the two recent postponed games, against Caversham and Eversley, end up being walkover wins for the Chairgirls.

The Firsts have three games left:

    14 April - Winchester City Flyers (H)

    21 April - Badshot Lea (A)

    28 April - Warminster Town (A)

In the Premier Division today, Bournemouth Sports beat Ascot United 2-0 at home, to gain the advantage in the battle for the championship. Three points behind with a game in hand, Bournemouth have the better goal difference by seven, and play their final two games at Warminster and Woodley. Ascot play their final game at Woodley too.

    The latest tables.

    Southern Region Division One North

  • Just the Firsts in action this weekend, after a three week break, when they host Winchester City Flyers on Sunday. The Flyers are one from bottom, four points behind the Chairgirls, who won the reverse fixture 2-0 in September. Kick-off 2pm at the 1878 Stadium, Burnham SL1 8JG.

  • Just to add that this is the last home game this season.

  • Good to see. Becoming a pathway club, so players can join from age 7 and progress year on year to the First team, is what is needed.

  • FT Firsts 2-4 Winchester City Flyers.

The Flyers took a two goal lead, Amy Leach pulled a goal back. The visitors scored again to make it 1-3 at the break. Eman Kassem scored her first goal for the Chairgirls on 49 minutes, but the visitors restored the two goal lead on 53 minutes.

The Firsts complete their league games over the next two Sundays, away at Badshot and Warminster.

Congratulations to Bournemouth Sports, who drew 1-1 at Woodley today and are champions.

  • Again, it's just the Firsts with a game this weekend when, on Sunday, they travel to bottom club Badshot Lea. In October Bobby Lynch scored the only goal in the reverse fixture. Kick-off 2pm at Operatix Community Ground, Westfield Lane, Wrecclesham GU10 4PF.

As expected, the U23s have been awarded walkover wins against Eversley & California, and Caversham. That completes their season, they are currently second, and can be overtaken by Milton United and Penn & Tylers Green.

  • FT Badshot Lea 0-7 Firsts.
