It would be good to organise some sort of fundraising for the women's team - or even to organise a game that the Trust, Supporters club, WWISC, etc all supported in order to get them a bumper crowd.
@ForeverBlue@AlanCecil any chance you could raise this at a Trust board meeting so we're not treading on anyone's toes by trying to help them a bit?
It would be nice if, to start with, we let them play their fixture closest to international women’s day at Adams Park. And, obviously, turned up in numbers to watch it.
@peterparrotface in my view more power to your elbow and one at the Club will ever turn down an offer of ‘free’ cash to help one of the teams. Would suggest close liaison ahead of / whilst anything is being organised however to ensure no unnecessary crossover. Let us know if / when you decide to do something and I will ensure you are put in touch with the Director responsible for the team.
I am told "A positive start to the season , beating Wantage 3-1 on penalties in Woman’s FA Cup following a 2-2 draw after extra time. This was a good result given that four of our best players were unavailable . We will play Ascot at home in the next round on Sunday September 2nd , kick off 2.30 at Flackwell . "
I see that WW Ladies had an impressive 11-0 league win against Wargrave at Flackwell today. Five goals for Tara Woodward, three wins out of three in the league now.
Quite something. At least one Wycombe Wanderers team are top of the league. Good to see some good quality photos of the action too. Anyone know the biggest ever win for the men's team? More than 11-0?
Top scores in competitive games:
18-1 v Staines (H) - Great Western Suburban League - 1909-10
15-1 v Witney Town (H) - FA Cup Prelim. Round Replay - 1955-56
14-0 v 2nd Coldstream Guards (A) - Spartan League - 1919-20
13-0 v Amersham Town (H) - FA Cup Extra Prelim. Round - 1950-51
I was trying to find a league table for the ladies team, just to see who they play out of interest, but can't find one anywhere ? Is there a link for one ? Also, how far down the pyramid are they ?

Yes, several of those, at Chesterfield in the FA Cup was especially enjoyable. Burnley at home was memorable, 4-0 up at HT if I remember.
Wasn't Super Simon Garner due to do the halftime draw at that game but it was thought his appearance might further enrage Burnley fans given the scoreline.
It is fascinating perusing the news on the Archive site from that season, too much to go over here, but I will mention that Adams Apple started that season. They claimed to be the first football band so I blame them for the extremely irritating band that strike up during England matches.
Another win for WW Ladies today, 5-1 at Wokingham & Emmbrook, three more goals for Tara Woodward. Good to see them on the pitch at Adams Park on Saturday.
A very good win today for WW Ladies in the B & B Senior Cup, 1-0 away to Woodley Utd, who are top of the division above. Woodley described it as "a fair result in the end".
They did it without top scorer Tara Woodward, who I see was working with the Media Team at Adams Park yesterday, interviewing players.

Spoke to Tara yesterday who has an injury preventing her from playing this weekend.

@peterparrotface Active integration of WWLFC into the Club is ongoing and will see them benefit also from activities that benefit the Club as a whole.
@ForeverBlue cheers for the reply.
So if fans want to organise something to give them a few quid or whatever, that's not a problem?

Anyone know how the women fared yesterday?
@micra, lost 3-1 to Ascot after taking the lead.
Thanks, @Steve_Peart.

What's our record as a professional club? 5-0?

You are right @MindlessDrugHoover, I didn't remember that. Groundstaff were worried that it might send the 772 BurnIey fans "over the top", details here: http://docs.wixstatic.com/ugd/13036b_cf1e7aaff960499fa116d7585caa0942.pdf

A 1-0 League Cup home win against Basingstoke Town today.
Next Sunday it's the top of the table league game at Moneyfields. Both teams have won all four of their games.
